Indoor Copacabana, Muay Thai, Love Potion LED tent grow

Looking great so far! When do you plan to add the canes? It looks like they're starting to outgrow their baskets.

Yeah, I know :dizzy:.

Looks like I'm gonna be in some deep tulips here with no room to tip toe. I should have only popped one super auto at a time instead of the two. I don't think the tent is big enough to accomodate everything that is going here.

Not decided who/when is getting placed outside to finish, or what I'm gonna do. Canes or not, they're going to take up too much space either way in the 7' x 2' space the five plants have.

The new light did arrive today, though, so a bit of a reprieve as far as that goes. It's really hot, though. Put in another fan for circulation, I think that's going to be important going forward as they go into bud and the airspace gets crowded.

Some branches have not perked up from the last round of pinching and bending and crowding, so I'm gonna see how things go for a couple days and let the plants dictate the shape/position they need to be in.

A stopgap alarm pull move might be to trim off one or two healthy branches, would stun them and hopefully slow the stretch. I might go ahead and clip one each off the Thai and the Copa, I dunno, I'm not hitting the panic button yet but maybe I should be...:yoinks:

The 10 Gal dirtpot my Copa is in is 16 inches across the top and 13 inches tall. She's suffered some unnecessary stretch and still no nutes, but happy enough as is. Prob 3 ft high in the last post, and from the structure/growth looks like a baby still. I guess I'm trying to say there's a lot left in her yet. Your Copa seems to be pushing out as hard as you try to push her back in. Not a bad thing really, but the Thai at this point looks a bit more manageable with a thinner structure. At some point the roots should hit the edge of the pot and that'll really slow em. I'd put the Copa out before the Thai if it came to that. Tough decision, especially with the promise of the new lighting. What do the baskets measure, just for perspective? Love the way your Copa is bushing out, the last topdown makes me want to run for a scrog net and smash her down, LOL. I've got 1 bean left and I'm dreaming about a huge pot single plant scrog, grow her into a 4x4.

Yeah buddy, I'm thinking one of these supers could be run alone in a 3 x 3 and fill it nicely. Mine are big enough and I haven't really done the best job with them either. I bet you could about fill a 4 x 4 with one.

Those laundry baskets are 24.5" long and 17" wide. Not the ideal shape for the 7' x 2' tent--if you put the basket in sideways (17"), it only leaves about 7" alongside it.

Here's a picture of the tent:

I'm using the 4' crossbeam that came with the tent to go across the ceiling. The lights are a little too close together. I think I will be moving the carbon scrubber to the floor to make a bit more space for the lights along the top. The new light is an old model mars hydro, 60 x 5W chips, whereas the first one was 100 x 3W. I'm thinking of a way to demonstrate the relative color of each light so that you can see. I'll have that up later.

They are finishing day 31 now:

I'm real excited to try all of these strains--I'm looking for refreshing sativa effects.

Thanks for the interest and input, everybody :toke:

Bushy bush Bro. Keep the scissors handy, though. 3 ft on my Copa today, and 3 more to go. Maybe just as wide at the bottom. Fan leaves bigger than your hands.

Here's a weekend update:
8.2 012.JPG

Yesterday evening I watered the Thai and the Copa. They get watered every 48 hours. Gave them 1/2 tsp of the 16-16-16 with some CalMag+. I pinched up all the side branches on both of them and they seem to have responded robustly.

Copacabana:

She's looking real healthy and the seedlings are doing fine too.

Here's the Muay Thai:

A bit oily green looking, but she looks healthy and she is flowering. The Copa is still stretching and not throwing pistils at the growth tips yet. I'm giving them another day maybe and then go after those main stalks and see if I can damage them a bit to gird them up and slow the stretch.

Here's the Love Potion:

She's doing okay but her leaves show the stress. I had given her water a couple times, came back with 1/2 tsp of the 4-26-26 w/ CalMag, then gave her ph water only today. The new growth at the top is a bit twisty. The runoff was 6.3 so I'm feeling good about that. I'll resume feeding the bloom again next time I guess. She's not the picture of health that she once was.

There she is again:

Thanks again for your interest and appreciate your constructive feedback. Time is really flying by!

I really like the green on the Thai. She looked a little beat down in the last update, but is really looking healthy now. Could be the calm before the storm. The Thai is a bit smaller than the Copa though I believe, right out of the catalog. You'll be smoking some good bud at the end of this round. I'd like to get a Thai going when I can put a few jars on the shelf, maybe over this winter. Ace Seeds or possibly Seedsman Mama Thai. I found your thread searching for Thai grows, just a coincidence on the Copa.

Start of day 36:

Love Potion on the right is doing fine, gradually getting away from the nitrogen toxicity and unclawing herself.

Seedlings doing fine, should maybe have fed them last time--they're hungry now. That's the Devil Cream in front and the Sour Bubbly in back.

Here's the Copacabana, she's doing fine. Does not make it 24 hours without watering anymore, she's been droopy a couple times in the morning, I'm going to have to top her up in the evening now. She is stretching and throwing growth nodes but is not flowering like the Thai is.

I'm going to go ahead and get a light timer going here soon, maybe after the seedlings indicate maturity, to help things flower along. Should benefit the Thai.

The Copa is going to be put outside, she's healthy enough and I just don't see enough freakish bending and tieing to make everything fit in this 2' x 7' space. I could bend the lanky/pliable Thai branches like a "u" back over the middle of her basket, but the Copa--I'm not convinced that would work. I'll plant her smartpot and all into a larger container and leave her in the shade to harden off, probably in a day or two when I get my little bottle of Great White mcyorrhizae to sprinkle in the transplanting hole. Larger pot will help hold more water and I think she'll do fine out there. I'll cut her out of the screen and let her go natural.

Here's the Thai, she's doing really well. I've got her on a transitional feed of 1/2 tsp grow and 1/4 tsp bloom. No light burning yet but once I get the Copa out of there, I'll have more room to spread everybody out.

Overall, the progress is good without any major setbacks or lockouts. Happy to say that.

Hey Medi. Good call on the Copa. Everything looks back on track, at least nothing had to be cut down. Good luck yo you on the rest of the way, want to see the Thai finish up in a big way. That's a nice little salad bowl sitting in that basket. Looking forward to the next update already, keep em coming.
