Start of DAY 40:

Muay Thai:

She's really done so well on these nutes, the leaves look great and it's hard to find much to complain about with her. I'm transitioning her more over toward the bloom nutes. I put like 1/2 tsp bloom and 1/4 of the grow today with CalMag like always, and about a tsp of molasses. She gets watered every day. Everybody got some Great White benes going this week. The only thing I haven't done is get a wire rack or something under the pots, they just sit directly on top of the rubbermaid totes so they're not able to breathe out the bottom. Maybe that has helped limit the Thai's size. I am looking for something the right size to put under all of them as that was something I overlooked at the start.

The Muay Thai is about 3 1/2 feet long, by 2 wide. The branches are very pliable and I have to say this seems like an excellent plant for a scrog grow and I'm not exactly growing her up to her true potential. Ultimately hoping for some good meds out of her more than anything but it's been a pleasure watching her go so far. Nice skunky smell.

The Copacabana is outside in the shade getting acclimated. With the pot sitting flat on the rubbermaid, there were only three major roots hanging out the bottom. Right in the center, one at about 3 inches, and two off-center at about 3/4 inch long each. They were white so I felt really good about setting her about 2/3rds the way into the larger pot. New pot is about 7-8 gallons I think. Dusted in some Great White. I'll put up a new photo of her in a day or two. Fortunately, we're in for good weather here and she looks happy in the shade. I've got a spot for her that will give about 7 hours of full direct sunlight a day, she'll get over there in a few more days I think. Her leaves look extremely healthy.

Thanks again for your interest, I'll show the Love Potion and the seedlings here in a bit, it's time for some grub.

Start of Day 40:

Love Potion:
8.9 008.JPG

She's budding along okay but her leaves are dry and not in great health. She was overdosed on N a couple weeks back and it's been stressful for her. Learning curve, this strain should have probably been started with 50% grow/50% bloom rather than the straight grow nutes, or maybe 25%/75% would have been better. I have another bean of her so I'll try and improve on it next time, assuming I like the smoke. One impressive point with her is that her main stalk and branches are very thick and stout. I hope it'll be good smoke.

Devil Cream and Sour Bubbly, Day 20:

Have to count on my fingers and toes to figure out what day they're on. Time really flies by!

The Devil Cream seems very happy with the grow nutes so far. Leaves look excellent! Here she is:

And here's the Sour Bubbly:

8.9 005.JPG

8.9 006.JPG

She's not perfectly healthy, and I'm thinking she might be a bit like the Love Potion and not wanting so much Nitrogen.
I'm going to come back with grow/bloom around 30/70 for awhile and see if she likes that better.

Thanks again for all the positive feedback from everybody out there, and thanks for looking in.

That was this morning, the new growth is light green but colored up evenly by noon so she's looking very nice and healthy, glad to report that. She got a little sunstroke yesterday while I was away, but I was around more today to move her in and out of the sun and shade, trying to get her used to the environment.

The difference between night and day temps is about 58* to 88* F, so I expect her to stretch out a bit like she seems to be doing. I am trying to keep the main root ball a bit drier to encourage that lower tap root to work it's way into that new soilmix underneath, and I imagine that is happening. Main thing is she looks healthy.

Start of Day 43:

Love Potion, Devil Cream and Sour Bubbly:
8.12 004.JPG

It's getting cramped in there again. Aarrggh! I splayed open the LP a bit. Trying to keep her going along, the new leaves feel a lot healthier--moist--to the touch whereas they were dry frazzled and felt like paper before, so I'm happy enough on that front.

Here's another pic of the Love Potion:
8.12 011.JPG

The Devil Cream and Sour Bubbly are squished up in there, and the bubbly is especially close to the fan. I'm thinking the Love Potion will probably end up finishing off outside to make room for the Thai monster and these new ones. LP won't need a lot of light toward the end anyway as she ripens, and the extra UV will probably benefit the trichs as well.

She doesn't have much of a smell at this point, which is either cool or not cool depending on how you look at those things, but I'm more interested in the aroma and taste after curing anyway so we'll see how it pans out in the end. I haven't tried to "accidentally" squish any developing buds with my fingers in order to accidentally get a whiff of the resin. Too early for those kinds of mishaps...

Anyhoo, here's the Devil Cream:

You can see how she's squished flat on the front side. She looks healthy though!

Here's the Sour Bubbly:
8.12 008.JPG

She had a bit of that claw and twist going like the LP did on the straight grow nutes, so I'm mixing the bloom in on this one and monitoring the situation.

Start Day 43 Muay Thai:
8.12 005.JPG

She's creeping along hopefully bring a nice creeper high with her. She's the only thing with any smell in here, and it smells nice! I think she's showing some phosphorus deficiency on some leaves so I upped her feed a bit. Her runoff was a bit on the acidic side so tomorrow she's going to get an extra cleanse of water.

Should be receiving new nutes in a day or two. As you know, I'm using the Grow More line of Sea Grow all purpose 16-16-16 line with the Sea Grow Bloom 4-26-26. I add Botanicare Cal-Mag+ as there is no calcium in the Sea Grow.

There is a huge thread on AFN in the nutrient review section about these nutes, and people have been getting good results with the Hawaiin Bloom flowering booster (5-50-17 I think). Grow More has come out with a newer version called Mendocino Hula Bloom (0-50-30), and I'm going to go ahead and give it a try (sparingly!). Going to try to slam in some phosphorus on these flowering girls and see what they do.

I'm also getting a light timer, and will take the tent from 24/0 to 18/6 as soon as the seedlings show sex, which I expect will happen any day now. I may taper the light time to 16/8 a few weeks after, depending how the Thai reacts, as this was recommended for the super-autos from Flash. So far, she has started flowering under 24/0, but I mostly see a lot of stretching still and not much change in mass on the flowering tips. At Day 43 I figure she still has 80 days to finish out at least, so I'm not too worried about that. I think as a scrog plant she can yield well per plant but probably average or low-average per square foot--depending whether or not you have any verticle height in your grow, which I do not. 4' here.

It's been a fun experiment so far, thanks for your interest. Lot's of good gardening going on out there, I hope you all are having a good summer.

Time for some updates. Here's the Copacabana. She's doing fine, starting to bud finally. Day 46 for her:
8.15 001.JPG

She's not in full sun yet, maybe 5 hours/day max, should get to her spot for 7 hours pretty soon.

She's got a few leaves yellowing underneath, maybe 4-5 and they pulled right off. Doesn't look like the usual Nitrogen getting used up. Magnesium? Anybody? She's healthy, though.

Here's the Love Potion. Start of Day 46 for her. I gave her some of the Grow More Mendocino Hula Bloom 0-50-30 the other day, careful not to hit her too hard with it and she liked it. Noticeable new growth on the buds after 12 and 24 hours. I checked the runoff when I did that and it was perfectly stable. I trimmed a couple fan leaves and chewed on the stem of one, expecting a hot spicy nute taste but it was actually sweet so I think this is good news.

Might continue feeding for another 10 days or so, up to about day 55 and be thinking about just water at that point. The other plants in the tent are so crowded, she'll finish up outside. Trying to delay the move as long as possible.

Here's the Muay Thai, start of day 46:
8.15 004.JPG

She takes up a lot of space. Branches are 10-16 inches above the top of the laundry basket.

She got a bit haggard in the left corner of the tent, especially in front of the circulation fan. Overfed a bit so I've done a little bit of cleansing and gave her dilute nutes and the standard CalMag.
8.15 006.JPG

Here's a picture of where I fimmed a while back. There's still the one funny little leaf there. I got a replacement top stem out of it, and it blasted off the two secondary branches so it was ultimately successful.

The Sour Bubbly and Devil Cream are doing fine but really squished and no room to really do anything with them at this point. The Sour Bub has a nice smell about her as you would expect with Mephisto. She's rather compact and squat, but there's a fury of branches developing underneath. I'm easing up the nutes on both she and the Devil Cream for a bit.

Sour Bubbly, day 26:

The Devil Cream is quite a bit taller and looks very healthy, but very squished.

Thanks again for looking in. :welcome:

I forgot to mention that the Sour Bubbly and Devil Cream are not showing any pistils yet. Kind of surprised for day 26. The nodes are alternating now and I expect to see something soon. I have a light timer power strip now, am waiting to put it to work until these 2 show sex. I might put the light at 16/8 to begin with as I think this would be best for the Thai. Probably lower the yield on these younger ones, but I'm so cramped for space anyway that I can probably live with that. The Thai may have to be flattened out a bit more at some point and will take up even more space....
