Lighting Bigsm0 and the cob addiction

Seeds should be here today or tomorrow and I’m going all in. Rooms been cleaned again too.
I too have suffered seed problems for the past several grows. Tap roots come, I plant, they do nothing. The Honey Peach that I like so much has been a real pain in the butoonsky. Had to toss quite a few so far.

Thank you !! For the message. This exact message is reason I’ll never leave. Even with the 25 (I actually counted) “oops error messages” I can’t imagine the staff struggle. Drama has always run thick in my opinion too. With the changes recently I’m sure it’s just added to it. Reminds me of stories I hear about these fights in Facebook groups or how people unfollow friends just to get back at them. Reason I don’t do Facebook lol. Adults glued to devices and fighting and arguing over text. I used to get deep into debate at times but I am so happy I’m done with it all. Speaking of it I’m sure I’ll be in the sht soon enough when I called out a cheap led company labeling their lights as quantum boards but still continue to use the same bs leds. I thought my work here would have rubbed off a bit more.
Anyways it’s great to here you're still successfully rocking the cobs. And even better to see them on something outside canna too. I have been selling a lot to people growing fruits, vegetables and flowers lately. Still to this day my biggest single order was to a schools horticulture program. Please keep in touch. I am determined to get the grows rocking again. As soon as my water lines thaw out I’m going to hook up my RO water setup.
:smoker1: well, I meant more in their personal lives, but yes the site upgrade was a nightmare, and not really their fault... horrible server co. issues mainly! The new forum software ain't no peach either....
Aunty in Spain got flooded out of their home with record setting rains,... Folks with health issues, babies being born (not all has been troubles )... It's partly why we are understaffed these days,... We keep reminding folks this whole place is run almost entirely by volunteers, and everybody has real jobs in real life! Very few places can actually pull this off = :superhero:
Outside of the more innocuous positive applications, social media has been nothing but an e-shit-show... Nothing that wasn't predicted though, right? ...distance and anonymity makes many a social fucktard brave!:doh::doh: .... And there you go, solid example-- bogus retail! Seed and light co's have been particularly bad as well, so many outright rippers, wholesale/resell/rebrand leg humpers, pollen chucking hacks with dogshit genetics or manage to fuck up good ones,... Staff have rebuffed a fair number of them trying to get hooked up in here, and of course when their BS is exposed, it's social media wank-fest about it! :backside:.....All you can do Sm0 is keep your part of the street clean, ay?:shooty:... what light co. do you refer to?

Good lights are good for all plants, it's all about the application! I know the AutoCOB's throw power from other orchids set in the tent for recovery, and this species took on the dark purple coloring it gets when Sunlight hits it - ... This Clowesia is almost porn-shoot ready! Super cool flowers,... I've been speculating about the longer length of the spikes being attributed to the 3500K "warmer, redder", and it being stronger than ambient dapple Sunlight they would normally get... Next year, I'll try the 4000K and see!

Cheers Sm0' :smokeout:.. fingers crossed for an early defrost!

I'v been having issues with beans this season as well, but haven't really spoken up to this point. It seemed to get better with a new round of medium I purchased recently, auto's direct from water to medium are successful. On photoperiods i'm having shit odd's.. 5 of 12, 3 of 11, 2 of 7 etc.. now I did catch a post of someone else mentioning bad odds.. and using paper towels. There may be something to this as that's an add'l step in my photo starts. Also, these are first seed starts since installing a mini fridge into Growage, seed/beverage/candy ;) storage at 43*F.

Good to read your still plowing forward BigSmo.. still loving my cobs.

Sounds like u have a plan. Still got my 6 autocobs rockin been quite a few years now. The original 4 still put big plants under them so gonna keepem going.

A man with a plan is Never a good thing.

True story, about 3 months back I put a pile of my diy lights on Craigslist. Met up with a super nice chap who bought my biggest and most powerful cob light. After a few weeks he messaged me saying he liked the light and it was working but he didn’t like the size, ability to adjust, Ext. Everything the AutoCob did. He eventually sold his other cheaper leds and bought 10 AutoCobs. The guy he sold his not so kind” led to owned it for 2 weeks and he had a bunch of leds burn out. He went back to the guy he bought them from asking if he had a receipt or warranty info to try and get it fixed. Of coarse kind is giving him a hard time like they did with me years ago but the seller also referred Cobshop. 15 minutes ago we met up to hand off a 10 pack. The point of all of this is that a light has to perform but reliability is just as important. We all work hard for our money to send it to a black hole.

I recently went 1 for 11 after several years of 100% success rate in jiffy pellets using the ronin method. Figured it was user error. Maybe it was sunspots...

Current run with a better Cobshop sighting.

One of the best looking tents I have seen in awhile. It’s not always about the biggest frostiest buds. They got to grow too and I love that part just as much. These are doing exceptionally well and seem extremely healthy.

Distilled water and fresh soil in clean pots with seeds that have successfully germinated for dabber. If this doesn’t work I may have to reconsider my location.

Anyone know what happened to blacksail? I thought there was an AutoCob vs cannon thread kicking around. He seemed pretty active at the start too.

I have 100% germ from all Breeders, I always use fresh soil. Never know what bugs may be lurking in used.

Take fresh soil saturate to a touch of run off leave it be for 24hrs with saran wrap over top or anything to keep bugs out.

Next plant seed one knuckle deep, cover with saran wrap again or anything clear to allow you to see and light to reach plant when up. Don't go digging most germ in less than 72hrs but some stubborn ones I've seen take a week.

Even the worst looking seeds have popped this way.
