Dutch Passion Autoflowering 'Think Different' in DWC under L.E.D.

Looking great Seymour, the 2 remaining girls are looking really virile, healthy and vibrant. The plants will be really soaking up that LED light now. You are in total control of this one, the plants, the roots and everything is looking as good as it could.

Things will really start to get interesting now and the Dutch Passion boys and girls are watching this with real interest. By the end I suspect all the seed companies will be peeking into see how this is going. All we can say is keep going the way you are, we have complete faith in you !

i dont feel pressure mate, i know my setup like the back of my hand and ive got mad skills, if i had the space id be growing trees indoors although ive not been far off

Hi Seymour, which other auto's do you mean? We have 4 new strains planned for release in 2012 only one of which is an auto (Think Different, which you are growing with exquisite skill levels here). The other 3 are traditional varieties, the names of which are being published on the weekly Dutch Passion blog.

So, for the immediate future Think Different represents the pinnacle of our AutoFem program. Of course we continue behind the scenes working on everything to do with AutoFem's, we have some exciting stuff going on there. If this grow goes well then I am sure you will get a sneak preview of future stuff too. As medicine man says 'no pressure'. Ha hah.

Seriously, you are doing a great job. Right here we have that rare spectacle of the right guy, with the right skills & experience, with the dream grow room and some top beans. Go for it Seymour! We are all loving this.

i read somehwhere that there were gonna be more auto releases in 2012 but wasnt sure if you had made public what those strains are gonna be yet, i know your back catalouge of autos sounds nice so maybe a cross of the auto mazar and auto blueberry or even the ak420 x auto powerplant the possibilities are endless

theres still alot of strains that havent been touched yet and made into autos like trainwreck and super lemon haze etc but i got my eyes peeled for that ak47 x uk cheese auto to appear at some point, i know both strains are avaiable in auto format so im guessing its only a matter of time before someone crosses them and i cant believe nobody has done that for a regular strain either

Hi Seymour,

For now Think Different is the only AutoFem scheduled for release. The first of the 3 traditional varieties we are also launching is called Freddy’s Best. Freddy,incidentally, was the guy that gave the world the original Mazar, Orange Bud and several other classics. He is retiring now, the man is a true legend. Freddy’s Best is the last strain from him, a traditional variety. The other two traditional strains will be named this Friday and the following Friday on the blog. That gives us a total of just 4 new strains that we felt were good enough to launch in 2012.

AutoFem strain creation is a more complicated business than many realise, even the best weed specialists are still learning the secrets and nuances of making a success out of it. Some crosses and blends work better than others, and we are still trying to perfect the art of how it all fits together. From our point of view we also have to be sure we are actually giving something new to the market. AutoBlueberry was a hit with the old-school smokers who enjoy their flavours, tastes and connoisseur high. AutoMazar delivers power with yield. Think Different, with a good cure, delivers a top level potency and high – the best we have yet seen in anAutoFem.

We have had to be conservative about the number of varieties we have introduced in our 25 years otherwise the seed catalogue would have reached unmanageable proportions. But yes, we have a couple of important and exciting AutoFem projects in the pipeline and they could go very well over the next few months so who knows where we might be in a year. But if this grow goes as well as we think it will, then who knows ……we could well be unveiling the new stuff here just like we are this time. You are right though, some of the possible blends are mouth-wateringly nice to think about. And we are thinking about them!

day 21 from seed

both plants are still on canna aqua veg feed with added silica rhizotonic and now carbo-load, ec is set @ .8 and ph 5.9 , i did set the ec to .9 but it raised to 1.0 so i lowered it back down

ive done some leaf tucking on 1 of the plants to expose her budsites
