Dutch Passion Autoflowering 'Think Different' in DWC under L.E.D.

thats how they should look thats insaine bro i love the led affect

Seymour what type of water are you using?

just plain uk tap water, i dont have any fancy reverse osmosis setup so i try and work with what i got

i reckon that most types of grows do require a certain amount of oxygen around the roots wether it be hydro / nft / coco even soil has the advantage of airpots now and ive seen some great results using those

the potenial this strain has to produce big is incredible, i was using silica in the veg stage of the grow and its gave the plant a sturdy frame to hold some big buds , im also thinking this is why they didnt shoot upwards and put on much of a stretch but they stayed very bushy, im just hoping the final half of the the grow goes aswell as the 1st half ;)

thanks for the comments there appreciated as always

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL :buds: :smokebuds:

Happy new year everyone from the whole Dutch Passion team.

Well, then there was one remaining plant. Seymour, you were right to select the plant that took the most feed and had the best root system.

I have to say she the remaining girl is looking absolutely amazing, and with the grow room to herself and 2 LED arrays on her she will thrive. My hope is for a 200 gram dry yield, but maybe I have my expectations clouded by a certain amount of bias, maybe 150gram would be a more realistic expectation. The interesting aspect of this strain is not just the yield (though of course yield is a vital aspect for the people that buy our seeds) it is also the potency. Our tests put this ‘Think Different’ variety at 18% THC and on a potency level with some iconic traditional strains. So a good cure of the finished bud, and a smoke report 2-3 months after harvest will be really interesting.

For Dutch Passion, and I guess numerous other people, this grow is obviously fascinating. Think Different is the culmination of 5 years of effort into AutoFem’s for us. In that time we have seen them progress from something of a curiosity into a genuinely credible alternative to traditional photoperiod strains. People that were once highly sceptical of the AutoFem concept now grow them and get speed and a production level unlike anything they have seen or expected.

One trend we are picking up in Dutch Passion is the number of people that are looking to AutoFem’s for an outdoor countryside or back-garden grow. A plant that can stay low in height, is easy to hide, and can finish in 10 weeks is actually a PERFECT solution for outdoor (‘guerrilla’)growers. It is also a real blessing forthose that live in countries with short summers – suddenly there is an alternative to indoor growing.

One of the biggest challenges for guerrilla growers using traditional photoperiod varieties is being able to find a safe outdoorgrow-spot that will remain uncompromised for the 5-6 months that a traditional outdoor strain takes. In fact, that specific issue was one of the driving forces behind people moving to indoor growing in the first place. I am sure that AutoFem’s will become a major ally of outdoor guerrilla growers. Google Earth will be getting plenty of action as thousands of new outdoor growers start looking for some suitable plots to plant a few AutoFem’s for the first time.

You don’t need my advice on how to judge the nutrient regime, you read the plants like a pro and get the same results as a pro. You must have some Dutch ancestry somewhere down the line !

Keep it up Seymour man, this is great to see.

Looking amazing brother! Rep + all the way!

heres a few better pics of how she currently stands, those last lot of pics didnt really show her in all her glory

i wanna make a mention on this plants aroma, i honestly cannot put my finger on it 100% if you rub her stems you get that ak 47 smell but the armoa she is actually giving off at the minute is totaly different, its a real freshly cut grass kinda smell , im so used to having that dank skunk smell around me from my last 2 grows that this seems a little different, still got a fair way to go yet though and you can see the thc starting to form down the edge of the fan leaves :toke:

Also loving the show seymour

you should work like promo for IWS or IKON as i have just bought a DWC oxytpot to tinker with after seeing your grows! lol  but loft growing limits me with regards changing large amounts of soultion.
By the way how many times in a grow do you think you totally swap out the bucket and what do you do with the plant when your doing it?

Only been growing a few months and into my second grow but love it more and more, not only for the end result but for the journey to it and just for the sheer beauty of the cannabis plant .

Its also great that duch passion guys like Tony come on and talk with us the buyer and grower and expo new strains like this, i for one will give "Think different" a go when it comes out.

Also liked what Tony said about THC content, i Find an autofem more than strong enough for my needs but hey im not a hardcore 24/7 smoker and find super strong weed just leaves me unable to speak LOL! But the market will always drive things forward.. faster stronger better.. and thats the way it should be.

So big thanks to Dutch passion,Tony and you for letting us share this one dude and i hope the rest of your grow goes well.

day 45 from seed

im pushing this strain hard, ive upped her feed to 1.6 ec and ive not gave her the full dosage of pk 13/14 yet, im probably gonna run that next week but im still at the bud formation stage of the grow

she is drinking and eating loads and her appetite is crazy, its not been easy for me to get the ph and ec to remain stable as her ec is always dropping, ive upped her ec in the hopes that we come to some common ground lol

her true aroma has finally started to come through and ive got the famous ak47 hum going on with a creamy tinge to it :)

all in all its going well, cause its my remaining plant im gonna try and push her to the limits and see how she reacts ;)

ive still got the end of bud formation, weight increase and maturation to go through and 30 - 35 days left till harvest ( 4 - 5 weeks ) im hoping for a big finish lol
