Daym, I just found this and look what I missed! I'm happy to be here myself.

I doubt you'll notice any growth difference in a test but I could be wrong. Autopots on their own don't add much to the quality of what you are growing IMO. If you take 2 15 liter pots and one is regular and one is autopots and you take the same cutting and grow it out I just cant see there being any difference. What autopots do is make watering easier for the grower. And maybe easier is just part of it. The aquavalve and the wicking action in effect means watering is more consistent with autopots. Would that in itself make your plants better? Maybe. But is it mind blowing? I doubt it. Maybe if you suck really badly at hand watering in the first place.

I bought autopots when I realized I was overwatering early on in my growing. They did the job. And I can go away for days and not worry about watering.

This is right off the home page of their site. There is not one mention of their product making growth any better than what you already do.

Hey, I'll stick to my holy 5 gallon buckets, and hand watering everyday, then. Sounds cheaper.

What's up with the negativity here fellas?

For starters, we created the autopots years ago out of response of the community. YOU the growers, asked us so many times about creating a forum just for autopot growing, that we complied and did it up without even asking Autopots and enthusiasts just started posting up. Nobody has ever gotten anything for free from them before from here (not to my knowledge anyways.) I paid for my autopots out of pocket, from Amazon. I recently met Dan Gulliver, one of the sales guys with Autopots at a cannabis trade show and told him about the forum (and how we had an autopots sub-forum already,) and we had a laugh about it and he said they were a lot more lax about cannabis and wanted to donate some kit to our testers (our nearly 3 year long testing program we've been running, maybe you guys missed the boat on what all these vendors are doing here?) and that's where we sit. We asked growers if they wanted to test them out (from our test team,) and they said "sure."

Dan also came on for an interview and we talked about using autopots, took questions from YOU the growers, and advised on ways to be successful with them.

So yes, after years of giving them free forum space (because the growers of AFN wanted it,) we talked them into come on officially, and in lieu of paying us for their forum for the requested time period (and yes, we do take payment from vendors for forum space; server bills, security, upgrades, add-on's, and everything in-between unfortunately don't run or get paid by hopes, dreams, and unicorn farts (and gentlemen, I assure you, I have hoped; I have dreamed; I have chased unicorns with a vacuum. Money is the only accepted form of payment by our collectors,) instead they donated a rather generous amount of kit to our test growers (people that don't work for AFN, people I've never met, people that aren't on my payroll or anyone else I assure you lol,) and that's where we sit.

So if it wasn't explained properly I do apologize, but there are no tricks, no wizardry, no conjurations. Just growers getting some product they may or may not have tried before and posting in a big group thread.

As far as joining the test team, all testers are chosen based off journals for starters. We're working on a set of criteria and rules for members to apply for testing seeds and the like with our various vendors, and I would certainly encourage you guys/gals as growers to apply. Things take time tough guys, patience is a bit of a virtue on a cannabis forum.

So let's all chill, let's burn one down. I think things were maybe not explained well enough that caused a few of these reactions, so no harm, no foul. And let's grow on.​

I may be missing one, but that is the list of sponsored testers. Units have been shipped and we are starting to receive them and get them set up for testing!

This is a good list of Growers I've been reading through this and I know my opinion don't hold much weight but since I've come on AFN I seen one growers journal and read it over and over and that was RIPPER I didn't even know other forums or journal existed, after several days I explore more and more so folks saying this is redundent is kinda true but also it's okay you never know where a newbie will start out in afn so having said that I've also learned from lunarman post and millions of questions and because you ask them I've also got to learn from them so honestly new fresh stuff is just the thing imo I'm excited for some well all these growers to get these systems especially dudeski and ripper and honestly I've had my system for almost a year and just now on my first grow with them and I had to ask where to find the Autopots Forum and then I messaged pops and haven't been back to that forum except to check in on some folks grows
So I'm excited and happy for you guys can't wait to see some monster Buds

Well said cotton! I made a post in this forum TWO years ago. Was never able to get any of these. So I will listen to anyone that posted before then. Except for pop22, I always listen to him.

Thanks! My buddy is about to be 82 and can smoke as much as any of you young pups here. These are to help him as he is the tender of the garden. Ease of watering work as well as the more efficiently watering is what make these so great.
