Lighting A-Train's DIY, Mars 1200 LED to COB !!!!!

That's it. The simpler the better. 2 x CXB3950 72 watt 1 driver per. Easy as that. I'll find some or get on the back order list.

Email cutter, I see half their 72v listings are gone. Last backorder I had from them was only a week though, they shouldn't be too slow.

There's always Jerry at Kingbrite through Alibaba too, but I haven't tried that route myself. (I like an "add to cart" style online shopping)

Well, what's interesting is there are a couple other worthy chips out there but we'll stick with what you know. I'd say, bang for the buck would be the CXA 3070. Post the spec again on the drivers so we can figure how many you can run.

CXA-CXB 2530 are only worth buying if you get them cheap. Pay more than $11 a piece and its time to move up to the cxa 3070. The B version chips below the CXB3590 are usually over priced.

Ok fellas bear with me I'm almost done. All I have now is some wiring and bolting everything on. ..... then I'll have to buy holders and my cob and it's go time.

@Atulip @pop22 I am lost when it comes to all this. Ok remember my drivers have the .7A and 111W output when checked on a meter. Before I purchase cob and mounts I have to pick yalls brain again.

All the different light mess me up man. I have seen CXB2530 CXB3070 wich is in my amare and I have seen tasty putting out CXB3590

My question is this with the two drivers I have mounted what's the best setup ypu could think of with out price as a decision maker.

I'm sure 2 CXB3590 top bin would boost my flowering as well right ..... or would you still run the 4 top bin cxb2530

I saw the cxb3590 data sheet had something about 36 or 72 watt chips. Ahhh screw it I'm going to research more I'm lost in my own mind

they are 36 volt or 72 volt, not watts. stick with the 36 volt chips, they are safer to work with.

I say safer for a reason. The higher the voltage, the easier it is to electrocute yourself. someone mentioned assuming people would use good electrical safety practices, yeah, well some will and some......... HOW many people have blown themselves ( and neighbors ) up making BHO????? people are going to .read these threads and no matter what you say, some will ignore the precautions because they know it all......... Better for beginners to start with safer. I've worked with electronics since I was repairing TVs at 11 years old. Safety first always!

@pop22 my man I don't want to have to follow you around correcting bad advice.

There is no safe voltage, stop telling people that. 9v is enough to kill you in the right conditions. You're dealing with a 100v driver anyways in these things anyway, that's plenty enough to kill.

There may be a lot of worthy chips, post some links to where the deals are, not troll all the Mars conversions threads telling people they should use 36v chips only...

It's all good fellas I appreciate the help from both of you. I fully understand the drivers and electrical safety I'm just trying to grasp all of the chips and bins and cri. I finally read up on some of that stuff last night. So much to learn lol.

Thank you both I'll post when I get things ordered

How about you try reading what I said...........SAFER NOT SAFE.

As to other chips, here's one that performs on par with CXB 3590 for 1/4 of the price. Testing ( on other forums ) shows them to be a viable option. i didn't mention any by name, didn't want to add to confusion.

And you best be careful who you call a troll...... I work hard to provide useful information, if you don't like it, take your attitude elsewhere!
