Hi all,

This is my first autoflower grow. I'm growing watermelon automatic purchased from Royal Queen seeds.

According to the specs of the autoflower I purchased they should be harvest ready by end of week 9.

I'm currently halfway through week 8 and I can tell there's no way they will be fully developed by then. Realistically I think it could be another 3-4 weeks before they are ready. No big deal I don't mind them taking longer and specs aren't always accurate.

However I wonder will the plant keep growing until all buds are fully developed or are the plants just gonna say "Hey I'm done, I don't care if my buds aren't fully ready my time has passed my life is now over"?

...and no I can't hear my plants talking to me, I'm not that baked lol :D ....any advice on this would be great. Thanks in advance everyone.

Also attached an image or two as it may help.

Hello they will be fine and go all the way to the finish. Breeder times are never right allways add 2 weeks plus i have had 8 week strains that have gone to 12 weeks on more then one occasion so dont worry just carry on as you are it will all come good in the end.
Happy growing :smoking:

Thanks for the feedback

Looking good! They will finish up just fine.
For my first couple auto cycles I had my lights on 18/6 and the plants finished about 2 weeks after the breeder time. When I switched to 24 hours lights I started to see finish time closer to the breeders range, usually the far end. Mephisto Skywalker were my first plants under 24 and they finished at 70 days, breeder says 65-70 days. My guess is most breeders run a 24 hour light cycle accounting for the faster cycle times. I do know that Mephisto runs 24 hours lights unless seasonal weather is too hot to keep the lights on all day.

Off topic, but not not irrelevant.
Happy growing!

hint -> breeder estimatez only apply to plantz grown at area 51 & are non-applicable to thoze of us that live in the real world  :smoking: but to answer ur ques, yes, the budz will indeed fully develop & the the plant will be done....when it'z done :coffee: :goodluck: ppp
