COMMENTS:
Fuck me.
What a ride.
Long story short ...
More electrical issues rendered the tent unusable, so I have been 'trying' to nurse the girls in a normal room, with
zero environment control, waiting for the electrician to reappear.
Little did I know that "festive season" meant "no tradesmen for THREE WEEKS".
Unreal.
That these girls are still alive is the greatest testament to the Dutch Passion genetics I can think of!
They're not going to win any beauty contests - they look like they've all been smacked in the face with the Mayor's ugly paddle from Mingersville.
BUT ... I'm still thinking they could surprise me and recover.
To cap things off, Missy brought home the dreaded lurgy, and gifted me my first dose of Man Flu for the year, so with nursing the Dutch Passion girls, the 9 year old petri dish of God knows what school hatched virii, and experiencing the joys of a 39°C fever, we're back on track ... Fingers crossed!!
Still haven't got the tent exactly as wanted.
The new electrics - well - no other way of expressing it - they're not doing what I need them to do.
Good news is with a new fuse board and wiring in place, there's a much diminished risk of house fire.
So-so news is that whenever 4 lights are run off the built-for-purpose 4 light timer, the fuse is tripped.
Found that out by going to check on the girls only to find them in darkness.
Not sure how many hours they'd been in lights off mode, but in tent temperatures had plummeted as a result.
It's pretty much been a clusterfuck from the get go.
But again, I am astounded at the hardiness and do-not-quit attitude of these Think Different girls.
They're pulling me to the finish line, in contradistinction to me guiding them.
Bravo Dutch Passion, BRAVO!!
Anyway - here's a lazy arsed look through the sneaky peek window of the tent.
They were transplanted only 3 days ago, so I expect there to be a HUGE celebration and growth explosion, with the leaf discolouring to quickly dissipate once they lock into the controlled environment and regular nutrition schedule.
