I think the answer to your question depends on the size of pot.
If using 15 litre pots, IMHO the Air-Pots serve a purpose and have benefits over conventional pots.
The air pruning just makes sense, and combats any potential issue with your girls becoming root bound, which WILL stunt growth/yield.
In my experience so far, I do NOT see the same benefits in 30 litre pots over the relatively short life cycle of most AUTOS [~65 days]
If growing PHOTOPERIOD girls, over a longer timeframe, I'm confident the 30 litre Air-Pots would come into their own, when a greater root mass would demand more real estate.
