Looks can be deceiving!

Absolutely, most of them are getting fat and hard.
There are a couple of deceivers amongst them.
The foxtailing has really diminished the yield on a couple of them.
The 'tails' are airy, and just don't have the weight to them I would have liked.
They LOOK good quality, and the resin production hasn't suffered.
It's just the density that's taken a hit, which is obviously going to impact on the weight.

I just "had a feeling", so thought I'd do a detailed examination of one of the girls.
Sure enough - there lurked a potential harvest Armageddon - BUDROT!

THANKFULLY - it has been caught and destroyed.
Tent is now on DEFCON 1

Chop time is fast approaching

Took two of the girls out of the tent.

One of them for access, the other to perform a necessary amputation of limbs, 'touched' by the creeping black death.
So took the opportunity to take a few 'out of tent' pics ...

The girls are signalling to me that, for some of them, the finish line is in sight.
Their appetites have waned, which is usually a sure thing that they're on the way out.

An amazing, eclectic collection of all shapes and sizes in the tent.
Different structures, different heights, different leaves, different cola and bud shapes - it really is a potpourri of pot.

I think you have a good case for TOM, bring it to the Weed Intelligence Elders...... A good thorough dusting off and speaking Sotto voce while pleading your creativity......the POTpourri angle might be worthwhile playing to the hilt.....

Another main cola discovered with the slightest hint of budrot/mold.

It's not for a lack of airflow.
Shit - I've got FOUR oscillating fans PLUS a kick ass extractor fan.
Humidity is around 45%.
Temps are constant around 26-28.

It's just that the buds are so feckin' tight and dense that the air just has no chance of getting inside where the potential trouble is.
it wouldn't matter if I had 10 times the airflow - it simply wouldn't penetrate these fuckers!
These rock hard, tight and compact buds, are like a force field.

I can see the 'why' its happening.
The bract/calyx - those little sacks that appear at the nodes and often deep within the compact bud, appear to HATE MOISTURE, and rot VERY easily.
In 99 times out of 100, that's where it appears to originate from ... To my untrained eye.

I've jumped on it QUICK, and have minimised the losses.
It's still fucking annoying.
As much as I am miffed by the foxtailing girls which seem a little wispier, one thing can be said; the airlfow is getting into those girly bits for sure!

Today is Day 78, so time to start looking at 'flushing' anyway.
That should accelerate the endtime for the girls, and bring this mold bullshit to a 'happy ending'.

Thank God the tent was on DEFCON 1 status!!!

and if he told you to put your hand in a fire would you ? sorry to hear about the dreaded rot yoz but is it that surprising in that amazon rainforest you call a tent and hand watering your a glutton dude there is a solution a few growers swear by its called bud rot stop ive got some never had to use it yet you can use it on buds directly infected with rot it eats the rot making the buds safe to smoke
