All I was told when I bought the stuff was it was "Killer shit you'll want more of!" and it was! But at $400 and ounce the wife and I can't afford that! So you can imagine how tickled I was when we found 4 beans! Here's what the bud looked like...


This stuff was so hardcore bro the wife and I could only smoke a HALF a doob at a time! That is astonishing for us! I mean it is a Knock- Out punch and you can easily over due it and have to sleep it off! Well we'll get it sorted out soon. I'll figure out what to do here in the next 24 hours. Our Holiday was pretty damn good bro! How was yours? Just had my brother n law and good buddy over. We smoked some Syrup and spiked some punch with some Belvedre Vodka and needless to say after one party cup of that and a doob of Syrup I was ready for bed! lol I can't drink for shit! LOL

Hey HHL! Dude that sounds f'ing fantastic! Only trouble is you all will have to walk me through cloning/cutting(s) because I've never done it before? What all do I need? How long of a window do I have to do this? What do I put the clone in? Regular dirt like normal? If anyone can talk me through this and tell me what all I need, Cloning gel/powder or whatever, and how to do it I'll definitely take a clone or even two of her since I have the room now. I do want to preserve the OC genetics as best as I can so if that's the best way to do it I'm all for it! And to have more OC Bud to smoke is also a PLUS!

So let's do this buds! Might as well go hardcore since she's the only one Orange Crush I got! I could always cut out crossing her with the Mystery Kush and just polly her with an Auto... I just wanted to cross her with the Mystery Kush because I know for certain that strain, whatever it is, is KILLER. And so is the Orange Crush so I thought crossing the two would be devastating LOL Thanks again my friends for your input! AFN ROCKS! :head:

Alright Bro,
Taking a cutting is easy. I have never gotten any to root, without my bubble cloner. Not rootone, clonex, or other rooting stimulant needed. All you need to do is make a $20 bubble cloner. What you will need is a tote from Chinamart, also known as Walmart. A tube of pipe insulation. A1and1/4" holesaw, for a drill. An aquarium air pump, and airstones. Here is a picture of the one I made.


If you need further instructions on how to build it, let me know, but the pics should give you an idea.
You will also need a warm place to set it up, as the cuts will root faster between 70 degrees F- and 75 degrees F.

I will explain the rest of the method, after I get some coffee in me.

I really wish I had a plant ready to take cuttings from, so I could take some pictures of the process. You will need, a sanitized razorblade. I use alcohol swabs, and clean guaze to wipe off the extra alcohol. You will also need a small bowl of bubbled ph adjusted water, to hold the cuttings you have taken. The cut end of the cut should not be out of water for more than a few seconds. Take your cutting from a lower branch of the mother plant. Cut below the 1st node away from the growing tip, at a 45 degree angle. After taking the cut, score the cut from the above node, to the bottom of the cut. Some people, me included, split the base of the 45 degree cut, to expose more rooting area to the mist, in the bubble cloner. Place the cut in the bowl of PH adjusted water, until you take all the cuts you plan to take. This keeps an airbubble from forming in the base of the cut, which would block the cut from taking up water from the bubble cloner.
Make sure that you have clean Ph adjusted water in the bubble cloner, and start your airstones to doing their magic. It doesn't matter whether your cuts are in the water, or just above, as long as they are being misted, by the bubbles breaking the surface of the water.
When making your bubble cloner, use an opaque tote. Roots hate light, and bacteria will not infect your bubbler water without light to stimulate bacterial growth. If you are worried about bacteria, you could add a cap ful od hydrogen peroxide to your bubbler water about once a week.
Be sure you put your bubbler in a warm place, between 70-75 degrees F.
Your cuts will still root, at slightly lower temps, but it will take quite a bit longer. I have had cuts take over a month to root, at temps near 60 degrees F.

I forgot,
The cuttings do not need intense light to root. As a matter of fact, intense light is to be avoided. I have my bubble cloner in my laundry room, where I keep a 24 watt CFL about 8 ft away from them. I leave the light on in the laundry room 24/7.

I'm not sure about stabilizing it, but if you wanted to just make the auto version of your cross then I would select which look most like the photo parent that auto till around F3-F4,by then it should be full auto, then back cross to your photo and start over to give over 75% of your photos genes, gets to be a long process and there is probably a faster way, but it's addicting

Hey Bro,
No problem.
When I say score the side, I mean scrape the outer stem, until you get past the outer layer of the stem. That will allow roots to form there as well as from the base of the cut, and the first node. Yes, you want the roots to form pretty good, before transplanting to dirt. Go ahead and let some of the spider roots to form off of the tap roots, before you transplant. Then just transplant like normal. If you have those powdered microbes for use at transplant it will help. I am fairly new to cloning, but my neighbor was a good teacher.
Here is a picture, though not a good one, of roots coming off of a cut, that I thought wasn;t going to root, due to cool temps.
I had forgotten about her, and just noticed her today, when I was about to shut down the bubbler. I will let her roots grow for a few more days, and transplant this weekend.
The longer the mother is into flowering, the longer the roots will take to root. You should be fine, as long as you take your cuts by this weekend.

Got it! O.K. Sounds pretty straight forward. So, I use Great White Myco powder... Would that be acceptable to use on the roots or on the dirt they are going in or do I need the other stuff as well? Thanks again bro. Really appreciate it! :smokebuds: +rep to ya for all your help!

Hey I wanted to note... I know some of you are following my Perpetual Auto grow in my other thread... The Syrup I'm just finishing up (day58) smelled like farts randomly from the time she started flowering to up about a week ago. Not all the time just randomly. Like 4 or 5 times throughout her life... Well the shorter one of the Mystery Kush started smelling like farts today! Just like the Buddha Syrup Auto the Mystery Kush Photo is smelling like farts! The other one smells skunky, the taller one. Since the Syrup is 5 Indicas, that's all you can find on genetics, and these Kush are obviously Indicas... The Syrup and these Mystery Kush must share some genetics right? Or is this fart smell just a phenotype? If it's something shared in the genetics, if I could find out what these "5 Indicas" that make up the Syrup are that would narrow down my Mystery Kush to 1 of 5 strains. Am I smoking too much Assassin or am I making any sense to you guys? LOL :smoke: I hope some of you get entertainment out of my Stoner Brainstorming
