Why am i constantly failling?

I am going to agree with @Animatey on this. That it’s a very strange mutation. Honestly doesn’t look like a cannabis plant. Where did you purchase from. Here is a northern light seedling.

Royalqueenseeds.com maybe i should change company for my next time. Do you think there is some chance that my plant can give me anything or should i yank it.

I agree, that is either a mutation or not a cannabis plant. Did you get seeds from a reliable source?

Germination can be really stressful, and you are not the first gardener to have a hard time with it. I still dread watching for my sprouts to pop up even though they mostly pop fine nowadays.

Temps close to 80 degrees will give best results for germination, and it still might take a few to several days before your sprouts break ground.

That light will not be enough to cover a square meter. It should do ok for some seedlings and maybe some veg. If you are going to use LEDs I would really look into quantum boards or cobs. I had terrible luck with mars, and I probably had 4 of their lights because the price was right. Looking back, I definitely should have used HID or a good LED.

If it were my tent, I would look at a Timber 4VS or a Horticulture Lighting Group 320 Watt XW if you could afford it.

Either way I would ditch that mars light or at the very least get a cheap LED that pulls 400 real watts from the wall.

A 400 watt HPS or a 315 watt CMH would also cover that space OK.

Another option is to get a smaller tent and use a smaller light as it will cost some $s in lighting to cover a square meter with a good amount of light.

Good luck!

I just want to ask you this since i probably am going to fail again with my new 4 seeds that i have planted. What is the most amount of plants and what and how many gallons( liter) can i successfully grow given my current equipment. I really dont feel like throwing away more money and get absolutley nothing in return. I am seriously amazed over people growing in closets and many other budget growths.

Cheers

As far as cheap lighting I've got five Amnesia under a $19.95 led grow light from Home Depot. Full penetration and absolutely no light issues. They are starting their bloom period. (So are my peppers and tomatoes that haven't made it outside yet from the dank cold this spring).

Hi There! :D

I see you struggling - so thought i would throw in my 2 cents for what they're worth (more than 2 cents IMO lol)

Id say the humidy isn't killing your grows ... nor the lights ...
It's most likely the soil, the seeds or the water you're using. Out of those 3, i'd look at the soil first.

You ideally want a blend thats not nutrient rich (a light soil) - If you post up some available options, someone will be able to pick a good one for you!

Mars lights .... I've seen people win competitions using them ... so while they wouldn't be my first choice - i can see they're affordable and will do the job.
Humidity - There's ideals ... High in veg ... low in flower .... But at 40% you can grow start to finish with success. I did at around 30% for many years ... tired a humidifier and it was a pain in the ass.

Water ... What kind of water? From the tap? Is it High PH?

Usually what kills a grow for a new grower is environment. Both the environment for the medium (too hot with nutes or too cold with temperature) and the environment for outseid the pot.
As someone rightly said 80f is about right for germination and 75-85 you can grow comfortably in (85 is reaching the upper limits where you'll see taco leafs appearning)

Soil and Water is your culprit in my humble opinion!

Good luck with the next one - i'd drop some more beans to germinate - that picture is just TOO funky to carry on with (in my humble opinion)

:bighug:

Good luck!

For seedlings, you are fine with even CFL's or T5HO's to start them, they don't need a lot of light, just watch for stretching. Your light is fine for that. Once they get some growth going is when you want to look into more lumens, check out the lighting forum when you get a chance.

Looking at your seedling, I'm also really suspicious about pH issues. Do you have any way to test for that? That is pretty much a needed item for your grow. For a soil grow, a pH probe is fine, the Accurate 8 comes recommended by a few people.

I am worried about your mix being a bit hot too, does it have anything added to it? Are you using any nutrients yet?

I would look at what @blue wrote for insight into your germination issues. Your light will get you through for a while and likely doesn't have anything to do with the germination problems.

After you get a little further along it would be good to reevaluate lighting a space that large. I wouldn't flower more than 1 plant under that light personally, but it will work until your plants start taking up more than a couple square feet.

I don't want to derail this thread any further into lighting as I realize you were mainly looking for help on germination and I ended up preaching about lights... I just noticed you were using about the same light I was when I started and I wish someone had told me my space was going to need a lot more light, or that I needed to use it in a smaller space.

Royal queen seeds are great genetics in my opinion and ordering from them directly should be a solid way to go.

I'd recommend germinating in Rapid Rooters buried in their final destinations.
That will offer protection from possible harmful soil, until future roots can learn to deal with it.
I've rarely had a seed fail using RRs.
Plant seeds any which way about 1/4 - 1/8 inch deep, and keep them slightly moist under as high humidity as possible.
It's easy to see from the color, ranging from light brown (too dry) to shiny dark brown (too wet), whether the moisture level is good.
Once the roots exit the RRs, the plants should thrive.
