Why am i constantly failling?

My Auto's for this time came from "Magical Beanz" in Nevada. With the Freebies I got 33 seeds for $45 including shipping. 6 seeds ea. of 5 strains & 3 seeds of Haze XL. I only ordered 4 of ea. & got 2 extra free for ea. one. I was only getting 2 - 2.5 oz. for almost 2 years. Finally bought expensive lights & it made a huge difference. I think I'm getting a lot better at keeping my temps & humidity in a decent range & my pH correct. It took a while to figure things out, but I still wont have the perfect environment till I invest in a Mini Split A/C. It's in the works, but probably not for a couple months. I have a few small items to pick up 1st.
You're welcome to tag along with my journal "Buds Buddy's 1st Grow Journal" I started it today & posted a few pics. I'll be posting & adding more pics tomorrow.

Hello!

New grower here who grows for medicinal purposes not for myself.

Setup: 3,33ft x 3,33ft x 6,67ft ( 1m x 1m x 2m) growtent

growlights: Marshydro Eco 120 LED that is currently on a 26 inch (65cm) distance from the plants.

2 oscillating fans

1 carbonfilter 5,83 m3/min( 216f^3/min)
very short ducting that travels as straight as possible.
due to some unfurtunate circumstances i operate a diffrent inlinefan than i should, but will change it as quick as possible inlinefan properties 123,5cf/minute.

Growmedium: Soilmix that i mixed with 20% perlite. The soilmix probably dosent exist in North America(where most of you are from i assume) but it is a potting soilmix that accourding to a lot of people is a soild growing medium.

potsize: 5 x 6,5L (1,72gallons)

I started by attempting to germinate 5 autoflower of Northern Lights and then plant them in the soil however i suspect i keept the humidity conditions to high and germinated to long so only one seed of the 5 started to grow. I have since then planted 4 more, 3 royal cheese and one fast eddy cbd.

The second germination in a wet paper towel went excellent but after almost 2 days i start to worry that it might be a failure all over again.

I now want to ask you to help me diagnose my plant that survived my incompetence the Northern Light i will add pictures below. I read the diagnostic guide on this page but have been unable to diagnose on my own.

Some help would be highly appreciated.

This might sound odd...but where do you get your seeds? when i looked at your pictures i could swear they dont look like cannabis babies. jmho.

I believe Sativa said the seeds came from Royal Queen Seeds. I would let them grow & see what happens but also start a couple new ones just in case. Maybe it is Mutated ... I don't really know .... sure looks strange though.

Hi there Kitty! ^_^

I have some troubel understanding some of this part. By " before dropping your seed into the soil you'ld have watered it a bit a day or 2 before (like 1 litre of PH adjusted water). Does this mean that i should make sure the seed open up a root starts to grow from it and place them in to the final growing medium, place a clear plastic cup( what dimensions) over it to create a humidity dome. Should there be holes in the top of the plastic cup for some of the air to be able to escape?

Yes! All correct! ... No need to put holes in the cup! :D

Final point: The soilmix i have been thinking about changing the soilmix and will post a few examples of possible candidates and what my goals are for this grow. If you have read anything about what i have written of the soilmix, what are your opion of it and what can i do better to make sure i have a soilmix that will increase my chances of having a succecful grow and maximizing it.

I don't know about soil composition - if you can buy a recommended one like Biobizz, Plagron, Canna Terra, etc, i think that would help take any uncertainty away!

Good luck!

Well I only 1/2 agree with Blue. The soils you mentioned I feel are for more experienced growers. For a Beginner I would recommend a 50 / 50 mix of Fox Farms Ocean Forrest & Happy Frog. That way they can just up-pot without much need to add nutes if they up pot every 4 weeks. Just makes things easier for someone just starting out & they have a 90% chance at success their 1st grow. As they get more advanced & start knowing how to treat things I would move on to things like Bio Bizz . Just my thoughts on making things as easy as possible the 1st time around so they can see that they can do it. 1st time I used Bio Bizz I had 6 of 8 plants die. That kind of soil is a whole different ball game as you have to know what nutes to give when by the way your plants reacting. Fox Farms & all you have to really watch out for is N burn.

I highly suggest coco and perlite. Not too hot. Very easy to fix nutrient burn. It's extremely forgiving. But you do need to add Cal-Mag

Try a coffee filter just dampened just enough then put in ziplock baggie not to small and place in dark warm room just take the coffee filter damp it so it's not dripping just wetted entirely then fold in half lay seeds apart bout an inch and fold in half again if you want or lay them in the first fold then place in bag if you have to check on them don't open baggie just usr your flashlight on phone under bag to see if you have a tap root and let it get an inch long or so and then transplanted the way I've always done and only had maybe 3 seeds ever not germ now I'm not a expert or anything I'm a newbie at autos but I can germinate the seeds great lol but getting them to do perfectly nope I stunted my last ones my journals on here lol and it's down to lighting and watering and roots i messed em up in beginning and they're stunted badly now

Hay there @Sativa_cat just checking in on ya and the mutation. Did she show her real colors?
:pass:

Update and question regarding mold treatment:
I sucessfuly germinated and started to grow 4 plants, that was planted on separate dates. 2 x Northern Lights auto, and 2 x Fast Eddy CBD. The plants are between 5-7 weeks old.

I have been having some issues with high humidity approaching low 70% RH range (the meter seems somewhat accurate). I noticed on 2 leafs some small white stuff, wich seems to be a start to powdery mildew. After reading up on remedies i decided to mix 3:2 milk water solution and spray it on the plants.

Besides this i have taken action in lowering the humidity levels. Now i have a white coating on the leafs from the solution, i am wondering the following.

1. Should i clean/remove the coating on the leafs? Has anybody used this method before some people seems to agree that it is beneficial to the plants, regardless if you have PM or not.

2. What is your opinion on the milk solution, seems more natural then buying synthetic stuff.
