Leaves in the shade provide little to no photosynthesis. I know you have lots of fans and have good airflow in the tent, but useless leaves are useless leaves. Like I said it isnt a huge deal or even bad, but in time you will see that you will feel more comfortable with plucking. Moderation is the key. I personally like to look at my own pics and see whats in the shade. It helps point out useless foliage. Peace, slowWish I had @Jc420bigbud and @slowandeasy eyes ..... Doing the best I can with tools I have
Bad weather so no work today, yea I get to play .....
Thanks slow ..... as I ”grow along” I’m getting more confidence and the plant is becoming more simplistic in my mind .....
As for airflow, no sure if you checked pics but I have five fans in the tent so airflow is good but perhaps improved by removing leaves, however, I believe the leaves should remain as they still provide some function such as food and some photosynthesis but based on your experience / knowledge I did remove a half dozen last night and will pull a few more as I get a little more comfortable with the idea - I am pulling just the leaf leaf and leaving entire stem as I do understand the food remaining and no damage to stalk, which loops me back around to leaving the leaves but my mind is open and I always appreciate your advise .....
The light I am running is only 180 watts for 10.25 sq feet, perhaps is a little under power but all seems well and growth seems fine and I’m getting some stretch and good side formation -..... Light is by Green Sunshine Company ES 180, a flat panel light thus it doesn’t have focus a COB does and spreads light more evenly and the light is adjustable PLUS and this is huge, no eye protection needed it’s a white light but I’d do wear sunglasses anyways but the white light is really pleasing on the eyes and Old Boy knows that for sure .... For sure I like the color and ease of seeing ..... I also watched a video after I purchased and they talked about the extra red light spectrum so we will see how buds stack up ...... The ES180 was part of original plan but I moved the light out of the tent and went to COBs which may of been a goof ......
I expect White Crack to be a monster and Sour Livers seems to be starting to stack .....
Sour Livers Top Dressing has been steadily going down - perhaps later today I’ll top dress again and this time I’ll add some EWC - more Worms - plus some Kashi, straw and I’ll mix in some Oly Compost - Worms love Oly slow - you should invest in a bag if you have worms along with some BuildaBud by BAS, I like diversity in my mulch - which reminds me a little kelp in there too!
Peace,
MOB
Picture was taken with No Flash just Light form ES180 - Beautiful spread and color - easy on the eyes for sure
