Mephisto Genetics White Crack + Sour Livers SIP LOS Grow

The Worm Guru, Your my idol OB

Thanks Fish, brings a smile to my face .....

If you can dial in the environment, get your soil right to where the worms like it and get you lights adjusted you are half way there - now just some care / love and keep your worms happy thru the grow and bingo hope to get some nice yields - this will be my second grow, so experience still lacks greatly in each particular variety but I working on it.

LOL…Worm guru and Fish wizard. Easily the top two most popular stuff in a living soil grow. Perfect pairing! This young one is looking to be enlightened!

I'm in the process of learning how to amend my soil for a full organic grow next round. I've had good results playing with my soil so far. Or should I say just lucky! The more I learn, The more I'm kicking myself for spending so much on nutes. Don't regret buying them. Just probably shouldn't have bought so much. Luckily I have some outdoor long term fruit trees that aren't doing that well. I see a lot of Megacrop (they say its vegan certified. Whatever that means!) in their future LOL

Great grow bro! Will soak up as much as I can! Thank you!

You are most welcome, most very welcome ........ thank you ......

Here is the basic soil recipe you want to follow https://growingorganic.com/soil-guide/coots-soil-mix/

I listened to the pod casts at KIS for more info https://www.kisorganics.com/pages/podcast

For worms you want to learn about red worms and what they like and how to get a worm bin going - lots on the net on that .... You can even get into different worms such as the Africa NightCrawlers and European NightCrawlers but start with red worms, they do the most eating of any of them and work the top part of the soil - the night crawlers go deeper and help as well but the red worms are the compost worms ....

Nutrients split outside will kill your ground, well maybe not but ..... why not put ad in Craig’s list or find a grower near you - or give them away but i would not use outdoors on soil but that’s me, opinionated old boy ........ with problem areas start mulching with shredded leaves - build up the soil, feed it - but never mind me, just an old boy set in his organic ways, apologize for rambling.....

Thanks for checking out!

Sound advice! I've done some fair share of reading and experimenting but really am just a newbie. Owe everything to everyone here on AFN.

The outdoor trees are planted on roadside pavements and are already on pretty bad soil. Not really my property so not gonna amend them with my money. Plus, I was an idiot and replanted repeatedly on the same spot. Only good for short term crops. Anything else craps out. Only trees surviving are around 5-6 tropical fruit trees that are from 6ft to 12ft tall. Those are the ones I feel are worth saving. So I either put a lot of effort and/ or money into amending soil on public property or I use my Megacrop which at least sounds better with the vegan certification.

I don't live in the US. I've been using a combo of soil plus Megacrop for a few grows now. I personally don't believe that chem nutes kills the soil. Unless its with crazy high concentrations that don't make sense. With my combo, I still gotta remove mushrooms growing out of my topsoil and some occasional sprouts. That can't be dead? I can however, see how it can't be good.

I wish I could have a full home composting setup or at least a worm bin. However, the grow setup is already border line pissing the Mrs off. The smell and space of the setup will get my growing license suspended LOL!

But, I do have a good plan. Besides being able to procure local versions of most amendments needed (at a reasonable price), I also managed to find a local natural organic farm that makes their own ferts including EM, Fish hydrolysate and FPJ both greens and fruit variety. Being a local farm, prices are very reasonable. A quart bottle sells for around 3 bucks. Pretty negligible costs. Probably still not as cheap as DIY but i get to keep growing without a hard time with the lady boss! LOL

Only DIY project I'll take on is drying all the banana peel we keep throwing out and grind them to a powder. Malted barley powder is not available here in its diastatic form. Trust me, I tried. Only way is to buy raw ones, sprout and either puree or dry/grind. Might even do that!

Looking forward to more of your updates!

Update 12 Days Old ...... 42 hours since transplant ..... Temps range from 78 over nite to 80 daytime ..... Humidity around 60 percent ......

Starting with some LST Today, just a little gentle bend ...... Training wheels will stay on this AM and I’ll remove later this afternoon ...... I don’t leave the training wheels on full time and as we grow along different areas of the plant will get trained ..... Here are some pics but first pic up is strawberry nugs, she is still in the baby room .....

Nugs has a few more days to go and then she will be in the tent with Gold Glue and 24k

Happy wife, happy life ......

Public property so I guess it would not hurt anything, maybe Mega Crop won’t hurt but I know there is nothing in that bottle or bag the worms will like but I’m not smart enough or know enough about mega crop to really know .... Good luck with that bro!

How much soil do the sips hold Ob, Dimensions?

Fish they claim 1 cubic foot or 7.5 gallons ..... You can learn more here .....

https://earthbox.com/earthbox-junior-container-gardening-system

Nice thing is the moisture level is always always perfect ..... My daughter grew her first successful tomato plant this last summer in one - first success she has had in 15 years ..... HIGHLY Recommend trying one - you’ll be amazed at how easy growing is when you remove the watering factor and how well the plants respond.
