Rootmaker Pots are the small starter pots https://myrootmaker.com/products/18-cell-tray-with-1020-web-flat ...... I have a T5 2’ light starting them that seems to produce nice starts - I’ve started lots of garden plants under this light before my journey into auto flowers .......

No bottom watering just moist soil and then I use a turkey blaster to keep them watered ..... My germination involves:

Scratch seed with some sandpaper
Soak in rain water for 24ish hours with a little vitamin B1 in the water - water is warmed up to 80ish degrees
Plant seed into Rootmaker - Soil already moist
Put plastic cover over pot and stick pot in humidity dome and wait - the thick plastic helps shade the pot until they germinate

Juniors were filled up and the plant was set high in the dirt mounded up/over ...... I’m not concerned about future top dressings I will use Craft Blend and feed the worms some new mulch as needed - the worms will help eat some of the bulk you see but yes I did put plenty of fuel in those little guys ....

So right now I have Gold Glue and 24k and the little girl is Strawberry Nugs - Sour Livers is in the worm bin.

Thanks for checking out slow!

Yes, I saw that diagram before. Clearly that is how they factor in the 1cf. But I didnt mound it up for a few reasons. The directions they provide is for their nutrient set up and what not. I will feed as I go. I dont have worms to eat mulch. So I ned roomto top dress. Im sure you will find more room if you need it. Peace, slow

Must be where the one cubic foot of soil claim comes from - when I did a volume measurement didn’t mound but an inch or so ...... Suspect as we move forward more nutrients will be needed and top dressing could be an issue but somehow we will make it work - I am on like first week - you are into your 7th week, so I have a long ways to go.

Peace,
MOB

Few pics of the newly transplanted girls.

About 11 days old from seed and first day after transplant

Rags on top are wet, they serve as humidifiers and keep plastic in contact with soil which creates condensation - the condensation then drips thru top mulch layer and EWC to enrich the soil

Right now light level is low - when we get into flower readings should be upwards 700-800 depending on the strain

Soil is warm just from being in the tent - no heated floor or heating pad - concrete is 67 degrees

Thanks @Jc420bigbud ......

So this AM thought I would see how they will take to LST and It appears both will respond well .....

Going to give them another day or so and then I’ll start training them to grow sideways so we develop some of the lower buds .....

Picture looking thru the observation window

Temps ranting 78-80 range and humidity 55-65 percent range

PAR Level around 275ish - increased slightly from first day but only slightly - will leave well enough alone for now
