Mephisto Genetics White Crack + Sour Livers SIP LOS Grow

You have another tent? You will not fit all 4 in there after a couple of weeks.looking great BTW, excited for you to get transplanted. How old are your seedlings? Will be following along. Slowandeasy

Thanks Slow, appreciate you stopping by ........ Seedlings are about 8ish days old - transplant coming soon ......

Yep have a second tent, will see how it goes - these are smaller girls but already without any girls it is difficult to manage the top dressing work and I have one girl that is not looking too good - not sure what’s happening as she gets same as all others - pics to follow.

@slowandeasy Pic of thr girls this morning as well as the juniors and level of dirt - I’ve added even more medium heaping up/over the sides ..... future top dressings will take even higher - that’s straw and comfy leaves on top - some food for the worms as well .....

Also look at front right girl, she is not feeling too well - may even transplant in a cloth pot and give to my buddy to goof around with

So go figure ...... One of the starts is NOT looking good ...... Droopy looking girl - probably going to cut her down, no reason to waste time / effort and get poor results and I don’t think I can handle four plants in the tent anyways ...... some yellow spots on lower leaves in addition to the droopy look .... not healthy

The others look good, so we rule out environment as well as soil - all got same everything

Tomorrow we will transplant two of the girls and let Nugs grow a little longer - problem child will remain in dome until we decide or she perks up but chances are her days are limited.

I would not do 4 Juniors in that space Brother. Screw the plant thst is funky, you can let her ride a few days.but if not. Looking better, don't waste a whole Junior on a sub par seedling. This time of year you can have an unhealthy start easier due to temps alone. You have plenty of seeds.

You are 100% correct, she ain’t worth it ..... the other two look promising and Nugs is still a very young girl ..... Three Juniors could be a challenge but with these ahorter strains worth a try - if nothing else I have a smaller tent that will hold one easy and I know row in this oversized 2x4, actual is 28.75 by 53, an oversize 2x4 but ya three tops and that could be challenging ......

Transplant tomorrow likely for front two - problem child is off in corner, could of been light stress / avoidance.

FWIW, I waited a few days too long to transplant 1 recently. I was surprised at how fast she got rootbounded. I know you are using the root builder starter pots. Those look like a pretty good idea actually. You can get them cheap on Amazon. I will grab some and see what's up with them.. Really I only like to have the Seedlings in cups for about 10-12 days. Anything more than that and they get hungry and rootbounding can happen. Plus I find that the plants take off faster, zero delay. Where as the slightly hungry ones did have a noticable delay.

Transplanting today .... Will take few pics of the root system and how I transplant them - I know it’s old hat to some but I’ll show anyways.

Lovleh strains, LOS , perfect germ temps, grow spaces made from amazon boxes, root makers , 10 - 12 day transplants. I love this thread already :bighug: I also really need to invest in a vegging light, that Green Sunshine Company ES 180 seems to be doing great.

@Vicent Van Grow - Super glad you found - our journey will take 75ish days total take a seat, welcome aboard ......

I am an old school organic vegetable gardener that is learning how to grow weed, indoors ....... This will be my third official grow - the first grow was a bust as I learned about adjusting the environment and led lights - while I did do a 400 watt HPS single plant grow back in the Reagan days that was an absolute monster, due to job reasons, stayed away from growing but now retired and laws actually will allow here in Illinois for medical 1/1/2020 I’ve opted to get into growing my own ......

The Green Sunshine Light looks very good, it is actually in another tent - the baby girls are being grown under a 2 foot - four bulb Florescent light. 6500K - I use this light to start veggies as well, I love how nice the plants look under this fairly inexpensive light - while the penetration and spectrum are not correct for flower it sure gives them a good start for veg .......

You will see the Green Sunshine light in action starting today when I transplant couple of the girls to a new home but I can tell you this - while you might think you are paying too much but after you get and realize what you have you’ll soon forget the price - I can say this after only having worked under it a short time and see the customer service and support these guys offer after the sale - the owner truly wants you to succeed and offers tips on how to and what to do and when, amazing support I’ve never gotten from any company or any purchase, I can say this unequivocally .....

So thanks for the post and looking forward to any input / comments.

Peace,
MOB

Hey OB I'm really interested in seeing how your previous organic vegetable growing transfers over to cannabis as so far they really do look great and I love to learn new ways a techniques especially if they are organic. Nice to hear the law's being relaxed where you are, I think here in the UK we are still a decade or so away from that.

I will definitely be keeping my eye on the Sunshine light as I really need to get away from HPS but the fact you have those results from 4 florescent's shows I need to change what I am doing during veg. I already get quite decent results but If I could get the kind of veg you have there consistently then I think I could easily add 30% to 40% in both weight and quality come the end. Could I ask what wattage each tube is on your florescent I think I'm going to buy a couple today.

Thanks for all the info OB and I look forward to learning a few things.
