Mephisto Genetics White Crack + Sour Livers SIP LOS Grow

Hey @MrOldBoy , dont try to do 2 plants in 1 Junior. Trust me. Its a pain in the ass. To top dress its not nearly as easy. The stalks are close together once the plant grows. It makes it bad for access to top dress. I have 8 clones in them and wont be putting 2 in one ever again. If you never removed the cap it would be fine. But if you intend to top dress frequently...it is far from optimal. Having a single plant at the end is by far easier to access and take care of. I will know better in a few weeks how well the Clones will do in flower. Really it matters how big they get and how much food they need. If they dont need much food, then its not a big deal to do 2. But if they need top dressings often, it lacks space to top dress easily. That is why I am planning on doing my clones in homemade SIPS or Grobucket.

I actually like how the plants have doning in the same Junior. But, I really didnt like how cramped it was to top dress. The distance between the sides and between plants makes it difficult to access. I dont want to pack it right by the stems if zi dont have to. The phtos are really healthy, flipping tomorrow. I top dressed them this morning. They big obes are getting large, tok large IMO. I am going to take 4 clones feom each Junior before I flip. They are healthier than the Coco moms in have in small pots. And the clones are coming from the bottom, where they would not do much good anyways. It will help clean up the bottom for better airflow and light access. This tkme tomorrow I hope to have my new tents up and that 4x4 will have a trellis. I will teain them immediately.

I said in and Original NOT a Junior for two 24k ..... Top Dressing would be very tricky in a Junior and challenging in the Original for sure .... Glad to hear the Junior clones are doing better and that is NO surprise to me - In Organics the plant selects her food - Nute grow the Grower decides what she wants and there in lies the problem - some growers have killer instincts and are able to figure out what she needs but even those growers won’t get it right every time whereas Organics the Plant selects and she gets it right every time, every time brother ....

Good luck with your new setup - Organics Rock!

I have some tips for you guys wanting to add worms to your containers. A dozen or 2 is just right for almost any container. The worms will regulate there population based on how much food is available in the soil. You can do absolutely nothing special, and support a population of a dozen or two. You can mulch the containers well and have a huge population. Having good compost in the soil mix will support a larger population.
I mulch like crazy to feed the soil and the worms and it all just works itself out. I feel mulching is the easiest way to keep soil working primo over the long term.

Good fresh casting generally have enough cocoons and worms to establish a worm population in a container. So if anyone is getting the good stuff, you probably don’t need to add any worms.

Easiest worm bin setup ever. Two identical totes or tubs. Bottom one serves as a catch pan for any leechate/ drippings. Put lots of holes in the second one, 1/4” works slick. Put holes in the bottom and sides. Second one sits in first one, fill with some compost add worms and cover.

cheers

Thanks for the info @OrganicSinse. I dont mind spending $40 on 1000 worms. But had no idea how many to add. I can add a lot more than a dozen or 2 in all 16 Juniors. So I guess they all get worms! May I ask what you prefer to do food wise for them and approx how often each pot needs more? Obviously when your top dressing goes down. Just curious on approx freqency. So I dont kill the worms!

Hey bud, I must have mis understood. Either way, 2 in one is not as easy to work with. In really like what my ckones have done. In fact I dont believe you have seen them lately? Good news everyone, my tents can get set up tonight! So the plan is to take down my 7x7 and clean. Then out up 4x4 and 2 of the 2x4 tents. The 4 large clones will be flipped tonight and trained by the trellis. Gonna be honest, I believe that Photo plants will do differently than Autos. I am hoping they need less top dressings, if I only veg 2 weeks they wont need nearly as much as if you veg 4 to 5 weeks. Plus I like the size of them at 2 weeks. These bug ones are getting too big, I am concerned about the lack of space to top dress. It is annoying already. So I will reevaluate the situation once they prove themselves in flower. The Mom got massive in a 2 gal pot of Coco. 6ft tall with pot and stalk like a small tree! I took clones and threw her out a long tine ago. I have 3 Coco moms. I will keep 2 for now. But will replace with 2 new ones. With throw them out when the new ones are old enough to clone. Want a steady rotation with that strrain, it is a super fast flowering strain. Sea of Green style for it and minimal veg time aftet the first 2 rounds. Nothing I can do about the ones getting so large. It will be a good teat of the Kis Soil. If they stay happy til the end...small ones will most def. Peacex slow

So you must be a fan of Ruth Stout - Make mine mulch, mulch and more mulch - Guys this is the “secret” behind a good organic grow and it is so simple - even if outdoor gardening is of no interest this system of the lady who gardened naked works as Sinse says, mulch https://goveganic.net/article182.html

I suppose if you wanna add a variety you could go to WalMart and pick up $4 box of African Crawlers, Africans feed deeper into the soil than reds and like about same conditions ...... But reds are number one choice for chewing up compost .....

Red Worms will produce about 3 cocoons a week so they do multiply fast but even at that rate under ideal conditions the box will be weeks before it really starts to process much mulch - that works for some but what about others may want a quicker response ..... personally and being an overachiever, I put minimum 3-4 dozen as I want results sooner than later and have worm bins so no biggie for me ...... now if you box is set up and you let soil age some you could start with less and in reality it only takes just two to mate and any two, worms are ac/dc, they have no sex so any two can mate .....

One thing I want to add in any compost or worm food, even Purina Worm Chow - yes they make it, ask feed store they can order btw - anyways add Rock Dust - Rock Dust helps worms digest food .....

Sinse it’s always a pleasure to read your posts, always informative!

@slowandeasy - Thought you added EWC on WC your Grow - did you find any worms in the Soil?

@slowandeasy - Thought you added EWC on WC your Grow - did you find any worms in the Soil?
Well I have my fingers crossed since only used 1cup of the worm castings my local shop gave me cuz outta his bin and said had beneficial insects in their but when I asked today what they were he not only had no clue BUT ADDED THAT HES GETTING TIRED OF FINDING GNATS!!! Told him he gave me those with no mention of those AND FULL KNOWLEDGE that I grow in a tent in my bedroom! Any pointers u have so I don’t get 93 conflicting answers trying a google search for gmat prevention?? I used 1/2 cup 10 days apart but went into TeaLabs bag and was brewed 36hrs and then I tossed em cuz was kinda iffy bout the lil insects since had 2 in flower so don’t need damn infestation! :yoinks: Also is the“think it was” barley straw build a soil has is that article u linked why u recommended it?? My lil pots don’t have much room and not sure how to use it with the 2 with that cover crop stuff?? Any pointers there too?
Oh also my brain forgot what I read yesterday for your method but I ordered but bag of craft blend but also local shop had last bag of growkashi stuff and had tiny hole so he taped it n gave it to me for 1/2 price! How do u add both craft blend n kashi?? How much like per gallon of soil n how often plz?? Know it has instructions on kashi bag but someone using it now I trust lil more to ask that part! Also do u just topdress both (I know u do since adding hay etc and worms help break it down) but how would u recommend I use it??
Thx amigo Mark :pass:

I just mulch leaves once or twice. when I topdress vermicompost, it has bark in it, which is also left behind on the surface. That’s really it. you can’t kill anything just topdressing, so don’t worry. Just don’t go hog wild and create gnat bait.

No worries about putting extras in pots either. All my raw materials for my soil are just loaded with worms when I make a soil mix. The pot and the food just regulate it all out, just right.

I didnt see any. But it is African Night crawler EWC. So they might be deeper, if there at all. I have added some to each at start of grow, so hopefully they spring some babies up. I have a lot more castings, so we will see. I will grab some worms next week. I will also need some straw and Kashi. Anything else needed at this time?
