Those yellowing ones are for my fastbuds solo cup growoff so only reason they’re in solo cups at all! And if u were referring to the rootmakers I had jammed into the earthboxes already that’s just to hold the shape I need for when I do transplant! Only on days 10/&9 X 3 so figured in next few days! Just don’t want to wind up breaking stem in lil ones trying to move em too early! I top watered lil at a time into juniors and the full size today cuz I hit em with my other box of 5million nematodes! They r for fungus gnats but someone from Natures good guys said they’d work for getting rid of unwanted mites and have no clue what kind mine were that got moved from bin when I got worms out for the 2 jr!

from what ive read, the fungus gnat nematodes wont get rid of soil mites..
in fact using a full box of nematodes in your soil will cause an excess of nematodes that will die off once they infect all the gnat larva and cause a spike in soil mite population because the soil mites love dead nematodes apparently..
not sure if its different for predator mites.. at least u wont need to worry about gnats lol!

I havent used all of em the full size earthbox had no water yet so put like 2/3 of a gallon as top watering and then the 2 jr em I didn’t fill their reservoir for like 2.5 days and they each got maybe a pint to 1.5 pint max (all my watering can holds) and the rest I had saved but ya if I see any of these things on my plants causing issues I’ll get predator mites to be sure and hopefully if I get fungus gnats again then I’ll have something to eat the young ones! I also used castings from local place where I got my worms and 1st bag of castings the owner was out with broken leg and they gave me a bag with fungus gnats! Tried to kill in a bucket with diatomaceous earth but just wound up finding what looked like worms to me worm lady said maybe fungus gnat larvae.

Anyways they got topdressed with the mulch onto full eb and she replaced bag of castings which I dumped into plastic tray to inspect for bugs and saw none but didn’t wanna chance their being gnat larvae in this bag! Also if these mites are in fact just more composting mites and aren’t a danger to my plants OR MY WORMS then I’ll let em live but start crawling on my weed your getting eaten! :smoking:

what nematodes did you get? they are highly concentrated n cover a large area

Im just msking sure you dont waste your Rootmakers. I know they are there to keep shape. I was referring to the solo cups. I didnt know they were for that contest, my bad brother! I commented Because I noticed you didnt trsnsplant plants in the past and buried the Solo cup. It can work...but can also really screw things up. Good luck with new set up!

Oh ya those I buried on purpose but cuz I accidentally left em in too long and had ginormous roots coming out cut out bottom of solo and didn’t wanna jack em up and break a bunch off! Had left em like 25 days cuz only had the 1 tent at the time and FB gelato took waaaay longer than expected!

I have a couple of Jr's and kis soil. Can I direct plant in kis soil or is it to hot? Would adding a piece of mesquito dunk to the rez help prevent gnats?

Gnats won’t be an issue providing you keep the plastic mulch cover on ..... KIS soil is typically too hot for direct plant - dig out a hole in the KIS soil and replace with starter soil - any good organic starter soil, any of them ..... good luck!

well since its a little quiet in here ill post something! lol:
my auto blues x sour bubbly ladies are a week into flower @ 33 days in. one tall and open, the other more squat.. chugging right along in my re-amended soil...just got a top dress of b-a-f mixed with micro greens(for water retention..baf can be hydrophobic), craft blend, barley grass, and a grokashi / molasses /kelp tea to wash it down..

Hey where did you get the clips for the side braces you gmhave or is that a kit? Seeing what you paid. I make my own braces,but the plastic ends you have would work better and be easier to install. But those kits are expensive to ship to me. I have a TON of poles. Really just need those black endsm. Thanks, slow

its a high cfm kit from gorilla.. but i bet you could rig something up with velcro n zipties or something.. the ends i have r ok, but they have to be held in place or they tend to slide down

Can you put them on the other side of rhe bars? So the fan sucks them tight? Inhave made my own, many times. But was hoping those ends would be easier and a better fit. I would secure them in place with zip ties and foil tape for extra support. I have a ton of old tent poles, sliding some ends on would be nice. They are expensive on ebay, plus I need about 40 Ends. Homebox has the same ones, but they ship from Europe. I found the ends for about $5 for 4 online in Europe. But shipping makes it not worth it. On ebay they are $19.99 for 4. Thats crazy for 4 plastic pieces. Costs pennies to make. I have many tents and all different sizes. So making my own is easier and cheaper. But the ends would make it easier to use all of my extra tent poles. I have made many from Pipe from Lowes, and bent the ends to fit. Problem is, with the metal ends being bent and tents sucking in eventually tents will rip at that spot. I dont want to rip any corners on my new tents. I am in the process of replacing some old tents, leaving me a lot of extra poles. I emailed Forilla tent to see if the will sell me 40 ends. We shall see what they say. Thanks, slow
