Mephisto Genetics White Crack + Sour Livers SIP LOS Grow

foxTail didn’t seem to hurt the resins - looks very smokable, good job bud!
yeah, it foxtailed a bunch... autocobs seem to induce it in some strains..and this plant shot out two bottom branches 18 inches practically overnight 5 weeks into flower and prolonged finish time..weird..The sl (well 1 sl didnt, the other was a genetic mutant and was nothing but foxtails) and sn didnt fox tail..same soil, lighting, and conditions..so who knows..probably light sensitivity even at 28-30 inches..everything else was optimal..

Think light intensity would be good suspect - seems Autos require less light than photos!

I have personally built over 50 "Autocobs" myself. Exactly the same. So, I can personally say that cobs can and will light stress your plants if too close or too much light. Cobs create a spotlight effect when too close. Foxtailing is not common for me at all. How long did you take the plant? Taking longer than desired can cause foxtailing as well as too much heat. Check those things first. Peace, slow

that plant got a second wind about 2/3 of the way through flower and shot her two lowest puny branches up 16-18 inches b4 they set flowers n prolonged the process by 2-3 weeks or so..
temp/humidity 74/50-55
i like amber trichs :baked:

How many days is she? Amber seeking = Foxtailing with many Autos. Autos are on a time crunch, so when you take them longer than they usually go, Foxtailing can happen. Its a last ditch effort to stay alive for a plant. Photos can Amber Seek without Foxtailing as much. So if you are taking Autos a few weeks longer than normal, that is the reason.

2 almost 3 weeks old on 1/14... grew very fast.. tripled/quadrupled in size from day 14-24..
i dont keep track usually..i just watch the plant n let them tell me when..she didnt start yellowing till those last 2 shoots finished, then it came on rapidly..chopped 3/12 yellowed out nicely..

Sour Livers exceeded my expectations - container size matched to plant size and food in soil must of been good ..... Haven’t smoked yet but for sure looking forward to ......

Speaking about smoking, White Crack is off the charts just like @slowandeasy has stated on more than one occasion-

:thanks: slow for the heads up .....

Well FWIW, because you like Amber your chances of Foxtailing goes up dramatically with Autos. You said it went 2 or 3 weeks extra. That is the main reason foe your Foxtailing. Also, Im not sure if you do or have done Photos? I am a firm believer that Autos and Photos ripen and degrade differently. Because of Autos built in timer, I fiemly bekieve that the window for optimal harvest is shorter than Photos. Autos are most potent when mostly Cloudy IMO. Too much amber on Autos = decreased Trichomes and Terpenes. Potency goes down faster as a result if taken too long. Most Photos can go longer than Autos for Amber trichs without compromising too much taste, smells, Foxtailing, and potency . Also due to Autos inability to replicate exact phenos, you are unable to know which pheno is Foxtail sensitive or Ambers faster, unlike clones. If you like a lot of Amber on Autos you may want to keep track of which ones dont Foxtail. Many times Sativa phenos Foxtail more oftern than Indica. Good luckx slow

Which one is that brother? I told you White Cracknis potent, it presses Rosin very well. It is not super Stanky, but is frosty and yield high on Rosin making. Many times high terpene levels make Rosin making, so I dont mind if some strains dont reek up the place, if it presses well. Very High Terpene strains are often better used for Vaporizing or Smoking vs Pressing. Nice work buddy, excited to see how SL is too. Peacex slow

This is my first grow with an Electric Sky ES180 v2, which manufacture has included more far red rays in their light ..... Study made available in 2015 showed that the deep red spectrum helps develop larger, better flowers and fruit and the ES180, in my estimation did not disappoint- when I look at the buds on both WC and SL I am hard pressed to find any popcorn buds, even the lower buds were larger than “limited experience“ normal but also both plants produced rock hard buds ...... To say I’m pleased with my investment is an understatement - and I expect future improvements in lighting to be forthcoming .....

File Photo from 2/17 - Light provides good even coverage, even in the corners PAR READINGS were good!
