Mephisto Genetics White Crack and Kis Organics Soil

Thanks for the info, just wanted to make sure about the EWC. Some people say add immediately and some say wait. I will add your suggested amount. Yes Tad may not have experience with Sip Containers, but he knows the size of the pot and I personally want to see what just water and the soil does with minimal intervention. This will give me a Baseline to go from. Obviously large beds would have more space and require less maintenance daily due to size. But of the dude who made the soil says to give it a try and see what happens, I'm down to experiment and that is what this is. I have 2 seeds on Day 1 that I will use as my Mammoth P experiment. I feel more comfortable starting slowandeasy and adding more as I experiment and learn about Organics. Plus I spent a fortune on this Soil, I want to see what my money does! Thanks again! Making Earthbox Junior #1 up in 15 min! Went to the Dollar Store and got a tarp, funnel, and some other cheap supplies to keep my place clean. The wife gets pissed.

You’ll be fine whatever route you go, getting baseline is good ...... whatever don’t overdo anything - you are going to find the EarthBox is very clean and if you invested in a dog crate tray to go under EarthBox you’ll never have a mess - you’ll find they work great And wife will like ....

They come in various sizes, size appropriately and bingo, clean street.

Always had a drop or two one out of overflow - I keep it filled ..... Amount of water used in flower was unreal but I never let her run out - I made a dip stick and would check level and water as required until a drop or two came out or quick check with dipstick said I was full .... put a small tray or a rag under drain hole - easy and no mess .....

Also remember when filled, the water is still below the dirt level - the wicking action comes from the depressed cups of soil emerged in the water ..... thus importance of a peat based soil such as the original mix .....

Here’s a better look at water usage ...... on left column is large EarthBox and seven gallon fabric usage - on right is three seven gallon fabric pots ...... the sip container water use was unreal - some days over two gallons and that’s in a plastic container with a mulch cover View attachment 1113371
I put a Gal in the Rez. The seedling won't need much for the first week. I would rather ease into to the watering. I know the wicking is from the 2 depression areas. I will wait 2 days and add more. Let those roots seek the moisture. If you soak the medium too much the roots won't look for the moisture.that is why I bottom dunk my cups. I will have to be a little more careful next time probably should have moistened the top before transplanting to pack that soil a tad.

@MrOldBoy , have you used and Earthbox Junior yet? I transplanted my 10 day old seedling last night. I should have waited 2 more days as I originally planned. The top crumbled a tad, but I don't think it did any harm. Anyways, I filled the EBJ with an approximate 70-75% original water only Kis Soil. I used about 25-30% Biochar soil. I put the original in the depression areas and moistened them good, then out a full layer of Original Water Only. Then used a layer of 70/30 with a cup of Worm Castings. Sprayed and put another layer, but used some Mycos on this layer. I repeated this two as I filled it.

So I have a question for you. How full did you have your Earthbox? The EBJ says it holds 1 cubic foot on soil. I don't think I used that much. Maybe .75 Cubic foot?

Day 11. Day 1 of transplant. Looking good?! I will tape the hole up and a couple minor rips in the shower cap later. She seems to have enjoyed transplant, I will be honest I was a little bit afraid of the top crumbling, but nothing was effected.

Got my 2 seedlings in the tent with her while they veg for 12 days. Waiting the extra 2 days to build more roots on them. I bottom dunk, so the roots grow down and no over watering. That left the top a little dry and not perfect for transplant. Should have moistened tge top before transplanting, but I am so used to Coco. No need in Coco.

I have not used the Junior yet but have plans using ...... As for how full was my EarthBox, I had mulch and soil heaping over the sides, it was mounded up pretty full ..... here is a pic after the harvest ..... note five gallon bucket of compost / soil that I removed just so I could move the Flippin Thing - it took all I had just to slide the box when full ......

So you see EarthBox with soil and five gallon bucket of soil was in there as well .....

OK good start ......

Do you have any shredded leaves or straw under the plastic?

Is there condensation on underside of plastic? VERY IMPORTANT auto have condensation on underside, do you have? If NO then spray underside of plastic as needed, check at least twice daily at the start.

Fill reservoir to top, you want wicking action right away .....no worries about being overwatered .... when I grew Sam I had this moisture meter in EarthBox and it showed constant 100-110 millibars- EXACTLY what Tad recommends https://www.kisorganics.com/products/digital-moisture-meter

Uncover water fill hole, you want humidity now so no hurt if a little water evaporates!

I sprayed the underside when I did the transplant. I didn't check yet today. I did not have the water overflow the Rez yesterday. Roots don't like or need a ton of water when you transplant. I will add enough for a little runoff tonight, but I'm not gonna add water daily for a good week. That's a lot of medium and small roots need to seek for moisture. I have not put any straw or leaves under the cap yet. I will check the underside for condensation. I have mine just over the top a little. Not mounded up a lot, incase I add stuff as she grows. Anything else I need to do? Thanks, slow

Yeah, that is more than I out in fore surely. I left room for more. But yes u look like you had A LOT more. Without heaping it a ton, it isn't 1 cubic foot in the Juniors. More like. .75 Cubic foot. I will mound the next 2 up. I don't have it mounded as much as you did.

With @Organic Sinse and @MrOldBoy guiding you down the organic wormhole you can't go wrong. With white crack, you'll be having your mind blown by IMHO the finest Mephisto strain I've ever partaken of.
You're in for a great ride.
Thanks, I have done plenty of White Crack. It is my favorite Mephisto strain to press Rosin.. I had the original batch they did and told them to make it again, I am sure others did as well. Glad they remade it, because I ran out of the original stash. Peacez slowandeasy
