Mephisto Genetics White Crack and Kis Organics Soil

@slowandeasy ..... Just saying, and I understand very well about roots, etc .... but my EarthBox was filled with water a week before I transplanted as I wanted the soil evenly moist throughout the grow .... do understand the soil will be at perfect moisture level unlike a typical pot watered from the top ..... even after harvest I have keep the tank full ..... remember this is living soil and living soil needs moisture .... anyways enough said on that ......

With @Organic Sinse and @MrOldBoy guiding you down the organic wormhole you can't go wrong. With white crack, you'll be having your mind blown by IMHO the finest Mephisto strain I've ever partaken of.
You're in for a great ride.

Arch your words are so kind, thanks my GroBro and GOOD to know White Crack Rates HIGH - I have some seeds and will be firing up soon when I get to my southern home .....

Meanwhile back at the ranch we have a couple photos going - still another couple weeks but looks like I’ll be flush with Aurora Indica and White Widow to tide me over until some Mephisto Grows takes place

Yeah, that is more than I out in fore surely. I left room for more. But yes u look like you had A LOT more. Without heaping it a ton, it isn't 1 cubic foot in the Juniors. More like. .75 Cubic foot. I will mound the next 2 up. I don't have it mounded as much as you did.

Yes you need room for top dressing .... at first I was just under the sides but as time went on it was heaped over and I mean heaped and then straw over top of that ...... it was probably 4-5” high and the plastic cover held most in place, some split over sides but dang I had it up there ....

With halloween here you can score some straw pretty easy - I see in my local grocery store small hand size bales for $4 and of course big bales at feed store are $6 and after Halloween lots of FREE Straw gets thrown out into trash and wherever - so keep eyes open.

I will go water it to runoff in a bit, but I am not concerned at all about soaking it the first night. The roots need to seek moisture and settle in. 1 day with the amount of water I sprayed and added to the Rez is perfectly fine. These Earthbox Juniors are not as big and I can tell the wicking will be much faster than the 2 cubic foot Earthboxes. Once I add enough for runoff, it won't add anything for the first 2 days. I willl spray underneath the cap if needed. I know that the soil has to become evenly moist. I just don't want to over do it. This Soil was a tad moist out of the bag and I sprayed it down and Input a gallon the Rez. I will trust your judgement, since you have used the larger ones before. She looks happier than before the transplant...so something must me going right! I'm sure it won't take much more to get run off. Daily to runoff at this size is not something I want to try. Give her a week with spraying on top and adding some when the water in the Rez goes down a tad will be plenty moist. I won't let it ever dry out and will always keep the cap moisture up underneath it. I would rather need to add more often vs less often at this stage of life. That's what it is all about really. Not overdoing it and keep it the right Moisture level. Peacez slowandeasy

That’s the beauty of the EarthBox- it will never be over or under watered ..... but you’ll be fine and will learn to adjust accordingly- It’s gonna be tough to flip up .....

If after a few days you don’t see condensation on underside you can try placing damp rags over the plastic on top ..... what they will do is make plastic cover contact soil where it will condense and as an added bonus the humidity in the tent will rise - something we want during veg period .....

After Sam was flowering I stopped the wet rag process but during veg it was invaluable in both tent humidity and condensation .....

I also had heavy layer of straw on top and that prevented the condensation due to air flow under plastic but the rags held everything down and when I peeked under the mulch you could see the soil life and worms working away in harmony ......

I also had a lot of fans in my tent blowing on everything keeping air moving as Sam was thick and I didn’t want mold so the air movement prevented condensation under plastic but again the wet rags solved the issue and spraying underside in flower ....

Give your girl a few days and then watch the fun once she takes hold ..... Growth is akin to the best hydro system out there and it’s organic, I love the stuff I’m smoking - best ever in my life and bro I’ve smoked some nice bud over the last 50 years ..... this is the first weed I’ve had for five months and still get excited when I open a jar .... seems every jar is better than last!

Also tape over the other water inlet hole - we want to create moist environment under plastic and tape any other holes or voids .... remember if the bad bugs can’t get out they can’t hurt the plants ..... so it’s important with respect to bugs to keep them inside under cover

@MrOldBoy I just watered down the White Crack to runoff. I did it cup by cup. It took 3 liters of Water to get a little runoff. I figured it would be less than 1 gal and it was. I have a cup over the fill hole. I taped up everything but right by the stem for now. I will actually make a little cover for the hole a still allow the stem to grow well.

Good work your gonna be pleased .... I made a dipstick out of a stick and wrapped the bottom of the stick with pipe cleaners wrapped around .... stick down hole and gauge when full and you’ll always know where you are at ..... or use garden wire in lieu of stick and just wrap colored pipe cleaners around bottom 3-4 inches .....

At first you’ll notice some usage but that is just soil getting to the 100-110 millibar range, which is perfect ..... after second day useage will drop dramatically until plant grows .....

When you add new castings or Kashi in a few weeks add towards watering hole side, that way roots will grow towards the new food ..... and if you have worms they will eat the Kashi.

Good luck!

Day 12, she is looking fine. I watered to overflow late last night. I will wait til tomorrow and add a little more water to the Rez. For the first week I will do every other day to minimal overflow. Then do daily after a week. I sprayed underneath the cap. It had a little moisture around the edges. But I used a spray bottle and spritz it down. I will check daily. Spray if needed.
