Mephisto Genetics White Crack and Kis Organics Soil

This being my first time using starter mix, I did not know what to expect. Mentally had 12 days in head for surely. But roots poking out means it's time. Will let her soak up the water from today and then transplant in the morning! @MrOldBoy where you at bro? How much EWC should I mix in guys? 1cft of soil. Peace, slow

You don't really need to add any castings till later on, but it probably couldn't hurt anything. I'd wait till early flower, and give a top dressing then.

I didn't know, since the Earthboxes are a Wicking system. Should I do any Teas later on? Tad from Kis Organics said to try a round without adding a bunch of stuff, but EWC or teas one or two times. I will add Mycos to the transplant hole and around the middle layer a little when ai make up the pot tomorrow. I haven't been this pumped about a grow Inna long time! Just feels like a positive start and I am Highly optimistic about it. My White Crack usually does about 3os is small pots of Coco. My goal is to get 5oz. I think I will and it will be DANK! White Crack is one of my favorite strains to press Rosin. Very excited to see how some nice Organic grown White Crack buds press. Predict it will be awesome!

Slow, one thing to remember is growing organic requires a bit of a crystal ball or anticipating what your plants will need two to three weeks out. That is because organic amendments need to be broken down and the process takes about two weeks. Unlike salts, it’s not readily available.
I have not found a way to grow under Cobs without adding cal-mag. Everything else can be supplied. @Roasty McToasty has been running total living soil for awhile.
Truth is, I intentionally choose strains that finish fast, so that they can get it done before exhausting the soil.

Well I think @Roasty McToasty has some Cobs. I don't think he adds any Calmag. I am hoping to the 1cubic foot of soil will provide enough. That is the main problem with most Organic Soil grows. You can't do 2 or 3 gal pots of Organic Soil and not need stuff to kee happy til end. Big pots give yiu more wiggle room. I am doing a faster Strain and totally agree with you. Thanks for stopping by. Slowandeasy

One more thing slow, you may not hit the 5 zips mark first run... dialing in, but what you do produce will be absolutely delicious! Nothing like organics for flavor.
I'm being optimistic! It is my goal, but obviously may not hit it first try. I will take 3oz of nice Organic grown material. I know the flavors are better. Yields are harder to get, but I have faith in the Kis Organics soil and Earthboxes!

My pleasure! When I grow a 24Ct, for example, it’s in a 5 gallon... needs nothing else . Only downside is space.
Oh, btw.. one Blue Microverse finished in 55 days!
Perfect strain for organics.

I am pretty much on the same page with Tad regarding not watering teas into the soil, unless you have a problem.
I have moved this direction with my thoughts on teas. I only use water in the soil. I use teas only as foliars. If I want to add something like kelp or malted barley powder, I mix it with wormcastings or vermicompost and top dress it. Regular compost or leaf mold work great to mix with too. My thinking is if it’s already in my soil mix, I have it covered. I also feel it’s best not to screw with the soil pH or microbe life by adding teas. In healthy soil, the plant will communicate with the microbes through the plant root exudates, and set up an delicate balanced exchange.
I haven’t watered in a tea for several rounds now and have been super happy with the results. Plus it’s even less work. In addition to not using teas in the soil, I have also dialed back the amount of nutrients I add to a soil mix.
What you want to do to make a good living soil last is top dress dry leaves. Gnats won’t bother with dry leaves, and it’s great food for the soil. If you don’t want to bring in stuff from outside, the big fan leaves from canna work great. Just let them get crispy before mulching.
Hth if ya want to know more I could go on for a while.
Cheers
Os
