Howdy, Peeps. Time for a journal update!
I'm creating a journal for the DP Blue Velvet today, so this is now Thalia and Calliope's grow, exclusively.
I've had the Muses under a 400w MH (at 24") since Saturday last. No question, the hot soil layer has been rooted into, and the girls show a bit of "Whoa! Who took off the tourniquet!", but are solidly establishing their roots, so... Yay!
Let's talk fungus gnats for a moment... Little creatures arrived in a bag of OF from last grow, and I've applied a dose of Gnatrol bacteria (brewed, not stirred..) at transplant, but they're still flying around in sparseness. So, yesterday, I put yellow sticky traps out, and this morning I had tarred and yellowed a dozen of the bastages. I'll apply another Gnatrol dose in a week or so.. Hate.Bugs... said the organic Ganja farmer...
The stats:
Room temp 77
RH 48-55%
Soil pH dead on at 6.51- Damn stable soil, so far
No nute feedings, or waterings, since Saturday. I gave them all a decent drink at transplant, and the airpots are holding moisture well. Thursday will be a litre drink, methinks.

Also, I think they might have had too much of a drink at transplant, as the lowest/first leaves look like they felt overwatered. I've apologized, and they appear to have accepted my shame

I did not, LBL. I should call those soil mfgs and ask where they source their components. I called the Mass Whole folks and had a great, long chat with the owner. He asked me straight out to review both the potting mix and supersoil, no holds barred. Sharp chap. Then a week later the Maine Coast rep gave me a bag of their supersoil and all but dared me to do a parallel grow with theirs. Game on!

Looking good Wax buddy. What did those leaves feel like, the overwatered ones? It's hard to tell with the LED but are any stems red?

Well, I'm more than a little colorblind, but they do have a pinkish tinge.. I checked under a CFL, because the LED makes the stems look like unicorn hair..lolol Is this an issue?

Didn't mean to worry you bro! I was asking because I think I need a ton more perlite in my soil and I have some light red/purple color on my SC. The leaves also feel odd, not supple I suppose..
