I know Aus. has some of the strictest plant and animal importation rules on the planet. The government just wants to protect the domestic canna crop from pests and diseases, right.
In some ways it's good that customs can't catch everything. We watch Border Patrol about Aus. Customs and Immigration, more weird stuff than the Can. version.
Even here the selection is somewhat limited and gear is pricey, I hadn't even heard of Mephisto until I found AFN, now I wants it.

Yes we have strict quarantine rules for plants & animals.... protect the domestic canna crop....
unfortunately not lol, but the rest of our agriculture gets protection from pests & disease by isolation and the strict rules. Some of the introduced plants from England turn out to be rampant noxious weeds in Australian conditions, such as Lantana which can dominate a landscape, unfortunately cannabis did not do this lol . I used to work in import / export so I've had my dealings with AQIS. Seeds of anything are a prohibited import, unless you are a registered seed importer, but you can't register as seed importer and bring in cannabis seeds lol, a friend told me once that is is not illegal to possess cannabis seeds but it is illegal to germinate & grow them LOL. I'd prefer not to have that argument with the authori tyes
Well tickle me pink, the beans we thought were seized turned up today...
7 X BIG DEVIL XL, 7 X HUBBABUBBASMELLO, 6 X SUPER CALI HAZE, 3 AUTO BIG GUN, 5 X SHORTSTU
AUTO MIX, 10 X BUDDHA MAGNUMS...
I wasted no time in planting them... Those Buddha Seeds blister packs FKN SUCK. I fkn lost 2 seeds as they slingshot out of the plastic bubble no matter how careful you are trying to get them out. plus i don't like the idea of having to press hard on the seed to get it out, so back indoors I went to carefully cut the rest out with scissors.
Direct sow in pot, dibber down to 3/4"......
add some mycorrhizal fungi innoculant and the seed, you can see the bean in the hole .....
lightly fill hole and dampen with light spray. make sure you keep the soil damp while germinating, don't allow to dry out.....
I have one in ground hole that I have direct sown a Super Cali Haze.
I'll report back in a week or so when I have some up.

It was stealth, very well packed inside a little plastic toy kit, Jim at Dope seeds does a good job. I paid for priority and the last one got here in 7 days. Jim has been great, he has sent another lot of beans last Friday, so I'll work something out with him when they get here.
