Thank you very much for the reply! I will definitely go through these, so looking at what you've said here I guess my PPM is in the proper range but my pH might be a bit too high. Also, I didn't look at getting hydro guard because the Plant Success Orca website says it provides defence against undesirable bacteria such as pythium and so on. Do you still think maybe I should go for it? I'm a bit reluctant due to my financial situation but if you think its essential apart from Orca, I will look at getting it. Thanks again : )

I have never used Plant Success Orca but it should be good as it has a same or similar Bacillus stain listed.

Btw @Mañ'O'Green I was reading why you stopped dwc grows cos of res temps, I had an idea but not too sure how effective it would be(mental over-engineering). Would there possibly be a drop in res temps if the res was placed in a bigger box with water or maybe another inert liquid with a lower specific heat capacity and circulated using a pump. If using water in the cooling res, maybe dry ice could be added so as to cool the water whilst also producing CO2 rich water vapour that rises?

No, everything will equalize at the ambient temperature without active heat removal. There are chillers to do the job but I cannot physically fit one.

Afternoon every1! Just wanted to "leave" a few pictures of my leaves on day 8 from a seedling in DWC, I have a very undesirable VPD at this point which leads me to believe that the growth I've seen for 1 week is not particularly impressive, on the other hand, I think my roots have been doing well although I'm not sure of an exact water temp for the res. within 7 days I've seen the tap root extend along with two other lateral roots. Unfortunately being the paranoid individual I am, I didn't want to disturb the roots so haven't as of yet taken a picture. I do not know whether its just my blurple light or the seedling is having some sort of deficiency as leaf colour seems to be somewhat lighter than usual. I have decided to wait till the next reservoir change in 4 days to add any extras. If this looks somewhat deficient to the experience eyes out here I will go ahead and change the res with a new mixture of nutes. Thanks again for helping me out everyone!

Hello all, it looks like my trusty drying cupboard has got to be retired.. I'm gutted, but since I started using the guanokalong my weed has stepped up in smell... I mean really stepped up... I've never smelled anything like it.

Downside to this is, my lovely next door neighbour sent me a text yesterday asking if I can tone down the smell a bit due to thier whole house stinking of my weed :smoking:
Luckily they are in the fold, however it's really not fair considering I'm usually drying something.
Has any of my UK growbros used a wedryer? Apparently they are great for stealth drying due to the built in carbon filter. I don't want to stop bag drying but it's got to be done. I need something this week so thinking of trying one.

Hey there buddy new uk grower here, any chance of a brief rundown on how you dry your fruit like that. I was just gonna use my tent as it has everything I need to control the environment, but then I’m loosing 10 days plus on my next grow, i Don’t want to buy another tent just yet , cost me a grand already lol.

I believe AFN takes the meta data out, so nothing to worry about here. I might be wrong on that but in my case I think 5-O have bigger fish to fry. :smoking:

Nice to see another newbie UK grower, there's a few of us on here . There's also some proper master growers who cultivate top shelf, penthouse bud, I'm sure even B-Real would want a jirga with them :smoking:
