Sometimes you'll get a little amber on sugar leaves due to handling… i would take a sample as soon as most of the trics are cloudy.
Roughly 25 % less ambered (brown) pistils than Your plants at same day 52.Thank you 4n12c, do you mean 25% less pistils or 25% less trichomes?
Roughly 25 % less ambered (brown) alot of cultivars really put on alot of weight / Cannabinoid development during there last 10-14 days.
I usually wait untill almost all of the hairs turn brown then I check trichomes after that point. If there is still a lot of white hairs I don't even bother looking at the trichs. But I guess I like mine a little more ripe I like the body stone
Hazy's information is new to me but seems like a good guide. I usually dont let my trichs get too Amber but just try to aim for fully cloudy. I will have to give that 50/50 clear cloudy a try. Doesn't hurt to learn new things and try them out.If you have something that is working for you, that is the most important thing. There seem to be infinite variations on every aspect of growing weed.
I like trying new ideas and finding better ways.
When a guy with Hazy's experience and critical thinking shares how he does it.... I am gonna copy like a mirror.
Later, when I understand the reasons I can tweak his rules to my tastes.
Some people would suggest that if you like a body stone... get it more from pleasant Indica strains...less from groggy CBN.
But of course the canabinoids affect everyone different.
Have you tried a strong Indica harvested early? I though it was fascinating that Hazy would harvest a pure Indica at 50% cloudy. That has to be lowering yields...but do we want plant weight or THC weight.
