Feeding/Watering Regime
  • Greenleaf Mega Crop 2-part @ 70%
  • GH Floralicious Plus @ 1mL/gal (B-Vitamins, Kelp, Fumic Acid)
  • GH Diamond Nectar @ 5mL/gal (Humic Acids)
  • RAW Silica, Yucca Powder, Amino Acids
  • Total ppm = 520; pH = 6.4.
  • I've been fertigating with nutrients every 4 days or so, basically when the pot starts to feel light. Now that she's scrogged, I won't be able to lift it anymore so I'll have to start using my best judgement :eyebrows:. Anyhow, the leaves were looking a smidge too dark for my liking, so my last watering was nutrient-free, aside from 50ppm of cal-mag to facilitate better pH'ing (my tap water is 0ppm). I plan on giving these 'plain' waterings every 2 or 3 fertigations, although we'll see. I might give it one more plain watering before resuming feeding as it looks like I'm approaching some mild nitrogen toxicity, but I'm sure I'll sort that out.
Lights
  • Two HLG 135 v2 R-Specs, dimmed to ~100W each (200W total from wall meter)
  • 35,000 lux which according to HLG calculator is around 550 PPFD
  • Running 18/6; DLI = 36
  • Note, I've read some studies that suggests lux-to-ppfd conversions often underestimate the true PAR value by 10% so I'm running on the assumption that the PPFD/DLI's values above are low, i.e., I'm probably closer to 600 PPFD. I still don't have a par meter, unfortunately :sadcry:
Environment
  • AC Infinity Exhaust in manual control, also with Temp/RH Monitoring
  • Inbird On/Off Controller switching a small space heater and two humidifiers in the tent
    • The Inkbird temp/RH sensors drive the controller; the sensors are calibrated to show the average native readings on both the Inkbird and AC sensors. The AC reads high and the Inkbird reads low, and their average is a happy medium.
  • Temp Range: 24.5C to 25.5C
  • Humidity Range: 53 - 59 %
  • VPD (assuming 2.5C leaf-to-air differential, verified by IR reading): 0.9 - 1.1 kPa

I topped 2 of the 4 main growth shoots a couple of days ago - the ones nearest to the walls of the tent. I’ll give it another couple of weeks before I top the other two ends. This “asymmetrical” topping is a first for me. I usually train plants into a square-shape, where as this will be more of a rectangle (I hope lol).

Hey folks, we're now into Week 2 of Flower. Things are going good. Still dialing in the 2-part Mega Crop but I'm happy with what I'm seeing. I just gave the plant some plain water, as I noticed some minor tip burning when I gave the plant a proper once over for it's first major pruning session. Having said that, the plant is still very thick and dense lol. My feeds have been pretty light, usually around 500-570ppm, with plain water every couple of fertigations, so I might start plain watering every-other fertigation going forward. Either way, I'm happy how it's looking over all.

Environment-wise, lights are currently around 600 PPFD, and I'll be bumping this up to 700 PPFD over the next day or two, then I'll continue to gradually rise that up to ~900 or so over the next couple of weeks. For anyone curious, I basically follow the Photone App DLI chart on their website. Not sure if it's ideal or not, but it's been working for me in the past.

My tent is operating at around 24C and 55-60% RH.

I'm going to give this one last prune mid-next week, around day 20 of flower.

As for general observations, as I mentioned above, this Chemdawg by HSO is a light feeder. It's also has some pretty tight node spacing producing a short, dense plant not totally ideal for scrogging. Having said that, I'll still make it work and this thing is still going to be a monster lol. It's pre-flower stretch is also on the milder side compared to some previous grows.

Here are some pics since flipping to 12/12:
