Indoor tronGrows

Also, in addition to the HLG's, I do have some red/blue supplemental LEDs in my inventory:
Anyone think these are worth adding to my HLG's which have the following profile?

The red booster puck seems to be for supplemental 660nm, which my light appears to provide plenty. But the blue, however....

The blue would be nice for veg, stimulates veg like stuff well. I believe those pucks cover a max 3x3, might need two of each. I was originally considering them for the 730nm and the UVA. I wouldn't get the 660nm when your light already has it, but I'd run the 730nm all through the light cycle and 5 minutes after.

I already have the blue and the 660nm. I got these to supplement an older LED before I had the HLG R-Specs.

I think I might add the blue to my current setup, but I don’t have a dimmer for it and I currently rely on the HLG Lux to PPFD calculators + Lux meter + Photone app for measurements. Adding the blue will make this even less accurate than it already is.I guess I’m getting a PAR meter lol.

Day 7

Seedlings are looking healthy. The wife named them Annie & Abed (ala Community) for SLH and SD, respectively. The SLH seems to be the most keen lol.

Fertigated for the first time today, as per GH Flora 10-part Light “Early Growth”, 450ppm, pH at 6.3.

Also started supplementing with the Royal Blue puck. I’m iffy on using it 100% of the time, so for now I’m just using it a few hours per day.

Day 11

Hey folks,

I transplanted the plants into their final 5 gallon containers the other day. I dimmed my lights down to ~200PPFD for 24 hours for the transition and turned off the supplemental blue. They responded well to the transplant so they're back under ~320PPFD lighting now with the blue supplemental on for ~4 hours per day. I'm going to start bumping up my overall lighting intensity over the next week or so.

VPD still around 0.8kPa: ~26C and ~70%RH. I'll be dropping humidity a few points also within the next week or so to get my VPD up closer to 1.0kPa.

Haven't fed them any more - I gave them plain pH'ed water along with the transplant. Next watering I'll bump their feeds up closer to 500ppm or so. The SLH is looking a smidge hungrier than the SD.

Pre-transplant (day 9):

Super Lemon Haze left; Sour Diesel right. The SLH has been the more photogenic. Very straight with good posture. The SD is a little more on the wavy side - like a puppy who hasn't yet grown into it's ears lol. Not worried though, it'll grow into itself I'm sure :p

Day 14

Well folks, it's the end of the second week since sprout. These plants seem to be growing very quickly. The SLH in particular is looking damn near perfect, especially in terms of it's symmetry. The SD is nice and green but it's probably a day or so behind so far. Either way, I'm very pleased with how things are going. Both are currently working on their fifth node, so these will be topped this coming week.

I decided to retire my automated drain system from the previous coco grow. I'm currently hand watering, but I think I'll get my resevoir tank/automated watering system back on the go for plain watering. I suspect I may carry on fertilizing by hand, but we'll see.

I've fed once more - yesterday at 550ppm, pH at 6.4. I'm now keeping the blue supplemental LED on for the full 18 hours, with PPFD closer to 325 and VPD around 0.9.

Days 16-21 (from sprout)

Hey everyone,

We're at the end of Week 3 since sprout, and things are looking good. The SLH seems to be the fastest plant I've grown to date. It was topped on day 16; the SD followed with a topping on day 18.

I've also bumped my lights up to around 460 PPFD, VPD around 1.0 (~26C @ ~64% RH). I plan on increasing light intensity some more this coming week.

As for feeding/watering, they're only being watered every 4 days or so at this point. They were fed no nutes during week 1, once during week 2 at 450ppm, and once during week 3 at 550ppm.

Day 23

Starting tying down the 4 main growth shoots on each plant to open things up a bit. The SD is a little stubbier than the SLH.

Another round of topping soon, then probably a SCROG.

Irrigation system back in action…

Drain system to follow in the next few days… just need to make some modifications to accommodate the 5 gallon pots….
