New Grower The Plants of The Ape

I know it's not going to be anywhere near an exact science, mind you. Too many unknown variables like stalk, and branch weights of course but its definitely a great jump off point. And I love to theory craft anyway. I'm sure I'll develop a feel for them during the grow as well, that I could not possibly factor in at this moment.

First post ever. Im new here.

These are my second generation outdoor chronic babies. Indica dom.

Felt like the tropics here today. Hit 85F. I have actually turned the air conditioner on a few times as early as February this season, the earliest ever.

Good morning, Medheads.

Today is prep day. I'll be getting the girls three-gallon pots ready for tomorrows transplant out of their 16oz solo cuffs of bondage. While I am sure that this will not make Christian Grey happy. The girls, I reckon, will be more than pleased to get the hell out of the red room.

I'm dropping them into Dr.Earths Homegrown Organic Soil with the homegrown slow release fertilizer mixed in at 2tbs or 29.5ml.

I have a couple of questions...
  • Would you mix the fertilizer throughout or the bottom half to bottom third of the pot?
Watering...
  • Should I water completely until I get run off or should I lightly dampen? They will sit overnight before transplanting tomorrow if that makes any difference.
Most importantly...
  • Should I ever reference Fifty Shades of Grey again where my girls are concerned?

Dawww - not tag for poor ole' blue! ^_^

Well, i suppose i'll have to do :D

I can help!! I'd pot up into just the soil ... leave that slow release "mystery mix" in the box lol .. you don't know when or how it's gonna get released and could burn your auto really easy.

There'll be enough nutes in the soil for another 10 days at least - which will give you time to look into some NPK based feed you can mix in with your water.
(down the line you may want to try a living soil (organic) or biotabs which are like easymode organics)

Dont water that 3 gallon pot to run off yet :D it will never dry and you'll want to encourage your roots to search for water.

I use a small plastic cup from seeding to about day 10 .. gradually giving more each day.
Sometimes i'll do another small water in a ring around the outside of the pot (to help to soil not completely dry out) ... but don't water log it.

At about day 30 (about 1 feet+ tall) - you'll be able to water to run off every watering.

Question 2: Absolutely ..yes and regularly. Especially when it comes to training of any variety. For HST you could go a few shades darker!

:d5:

Or with 4:20 coming up tommorow and a massive 42% off at biotabs - you might want to talk with MrBiotabs to see if he can get a kit over to your area within the next 15 days.

Then all you'll need to do is push a couple of tabs into the soil, water in some mycos (and the missing startrex) ... and just use the plain ole' H20 and sunshine (or a light)

Thank you. Blue! I'll do exactly as you prescribe, and the "Few Shades Darker" drop just got you the first tag in line next time. I have not read them myself, but the wife, well let's just say she used some HST to keep me in place long enough to watch the movies. I know, the books are supposed to be way better, but until they have Deadpool or the Punisher at least in one of them I will not be reading.

I have been liking what I am reading about the Biotabs, would love to try one day on a grow for sure. Even at 42% off, I would still need a "layaway plan" my budget is right there between Ramen Noodle and Ice Cube Sandwiches.

Hmmm, I'm not from your side of the pond. I think we need some recommendations for a cheap and effective basic nute line you can get from a Home Depot store or similar.

You just need a Veg nute with nitrogen and a flowering nute. perhaps Skelly knows a magic trick or 2 :D
