Nothing to be sorry about, Mustas. I'm as much a fan of photo's as I am autos. I just prefer the perpetual potential of the autos in smaller spaces is all.

This morning marks day 3 since the girls have broken ground. Since then Louise is thriving but Tina who was born with what looked to be nute burn that cleared up has gone into a complete stall. I have added zero nutes and I can only hope that she is just doing some really crazy root work at the moment.

We had a cold snap run through the Deep South that I did not expect, we went from 81F. to three days of 35F lows. I kept the tent zipped and hit them with the lights for 24hrs. Trying to keep it as cozy as I could. They never saw anything below 65F

I was using an old hygrometer from a humidor but I have reason to believe its a crazy as a shithouse rat as it went from 33% humidity to 89% to 21% less than an hour later. I have the new temp/hygrometer loaded up in next months Amazon cart but it will not be here until the 7th or so of May.

I have them both sitting in 16oz cups, in Black Gold CoCo Blend soil. I didn't want to put them in the Dr.Earths Homegrown as seedlings I was worried about it being a tad hot for them. They have not been watered as of yet, the soil still has good moisture a knuckle deep with a good weight to the cups.

Current Conditions
  • 31 inches below the LED Zeppelin
  • 72F
  • 27% humidity (But I'm pretty sure its not reading properly)
  • Soil feels cold on the surface, warming up fairly well a knuckle down.
  • One concerned father on his third cup of mud. (I never drink three)
Tagging in some warriors for opinions, because I'm sure if I called Dr.Drew he'd have me giving Tina something for a possible STD.

She's spreadin her roots out at this stage and it's not uncommon to see no growth for several days! :headbang:

I hate feeling like a complete "noob" the wife is even laughing at me now.

"What happened to being able to grow ice cubes in the Gobi Desert?" She says, ribbingly.

That is what I get for being a smart-ass braggart. (Follow your instincts, fool!)

Tip for ya G... seen as they are auto's you want to be in your final pot soon. Don't leave them for to long or you may stunt them when transplanting, which may cause them to not stretch that much... I will always transplant between 3 - 7 days (about a week) of popping ground if I was starting in a smaller pot. Most of the time I will start an auto in its final pot. Like what Need4weed has said she is putting down that tap root and as soon as she reaches the bottom of the cup she will put her energy above ground. Transplant as that tap hits the bottom of the cup a she can carry on the energy finding the base of the next pot. Take about 2 - 3 days for her reach the bottom a large-ish pot of say 3 gallons. You will amazed how fast that tap root shoots down.

Count me in ^_^

:pop:

There's some good advice in here
I found out how fast a tap root grows on my last grow.

In 4 days it was 8 cm long and my transplant was fine.
In 7 days it was 16 cm long and my tap root accidentally got 4-5cm ripped off in the transplant process. (not a great start lol)

As slater says, i'd get your pots ready soon!! :D

:goodluck:

I should have started them in their 3G pots. I find I am second guessing myself at every turn, it's driving me bat-guano crazy. I made up my mind about 20 minutes ago that I'm dropping them into their pots Friday morning. I've cultivated everything from bad intentions to children and not once have I ever second guessed myself. Get ahold of 5 magic beans and I go straight stupid.

Thanks or chiming in, Slater. Much appreciated.
