There is a wattage difference between the 36v 1212 and the 50v 1812. If your driver is 700ma you would multiply .7x36 for the 1212, or .7x50 for the 1812.

The 1212 will give you 25watts and the 1812 will give you 35 watts.

Not really seen much on ebay aside from those £50 1212's and i would have to buy two sets of 5 to get my 8 needed. So £100... 8 1812's from you is £103 give or take so pricewise its the same to do both lights, just the shipping that makes the difference but i don't mind paying that bit extra, for that bit extra you know lol.

I don’t follow vero but they also have higher voltage cobs you could look into.

BigSmo, have you ever done a conversion on one of the Growstar UFO lights? I've got one I mostly use to keep males under when I'm breeding but if it's a reasonable candidate for a cob conversion I might make the leap.

Everything’s a reasonable candidate for cobs. Heck even my outdoor security lights got the hack. Seen from space too lol. Tear it open and send a picture and I’ll let you know what I think.

How are they doing? I purchased a set for my tundra about a year ago and they wouldn’t fit with the extra cooling part on the back. I need to try them again since newer designs are out. Ohh and I do have a burnt bulb lol. Thanks for the reminder. To bad I can’t pop an AutoCob in there.
