Introduction
Hi Everyone,
I'm newbie around here and this is going to be my first run with autos. I welcome any and all visitors, comments, suggestions, criticisms, whatever. I'm here to learn, have some fun, and help out where I can. Come along for the ride if you want. Thanks in advance.

The Set
This is a basement grow, in a 115 year old house with a stone foundation, out here in the Midwest. Temps can be alittle chilly down there at this time of the year. I don't expect it to cause any problems though. I've got a pair of 22 day old Fantasmo Express that I'll be following. My apologies to the boys at Mephisto if I blow this up. At this point they've done their part, now it's up to me. The two autos are part of a 8 plant assortment (grown organically) and they'll be joing the photos when they all make the move to the Flower Room.

Soil: Black Gold Natural & Organic - 50% new / 50% recycled from previous grows. Coarse Perlite added. 1 part perlite, 3 parts soil. Small amount of dolomite lime.
Fertilizer: Fox Farm Trio - I'll start out following their printed schedule and modify if the plants call out to me.
Gnat Control: Diatec V
The Veg Box is 2' Deep x 5' Long x 36" Tall. It has two T5 HO fixtures each holding two bulbs. The box comfortably holds 8 plants in 2 gallon pots. The top opens to control any heat build up. Pretty straight forward. Works great as far as I'm concerned.

The Flower Room is 4.5' Deep x 9' wide and has 6.5' ceilings. The space has two 400w HPS bulbs and reflectors. I'm currently using Eye Hortilux Super HPS bulbs. I'll get some photos up as the girls make their tansition.

Here's the Sisters. PYT's.

The're 22 days old here and stand 4.5 - 5.5 inches tall. Their pre-flowers were already formed when I looked at 19 days. That was pretty amazing to see for an old photo grower. They're in two gallon pots right now, and about to take off. The stems look hearty and strong. "All Systems Grow!"

I'll update at least every two weeks and will put up lots of photos as things get more interesting. I appreciate everyone's help and/or interest. Let's grow!

Plants look great ... Looks like you may have done this before ... hope you enjoy the autos ... I have a Fantasmo Express approaching harvest in my signature grow ... practically grew itself ... Looking forward to watching your grow ...
:hookah:

Thanks Chester. Yes, I do bring some experience to the table, but it's limited, and it's all been photos up to this point. I can grow pretty decent batch these days, so I'm psyched about giving these girls a whirl! Glad you'll be watching. Please speak up if you see anything crazy going on. Looking forward to checking out your grow.

Thanks again,

Day 28 Update
On day 27 I transplanted the ladies from 2 to 3 gallon pots and switched them to 12/12 (from 18/6). They're now under 400 watt HPS bulbs and reflectors. They measured in today at 8" & 10" and look nice and healthy.

Here is the root system of the taller plant. Nicely developed and evenly spread throughout. The smaller plant had an even more vigorous root system. Sharpness not so good on this photo.

Here's the taller of the two at 10 inches now.

And, here's the smaller one. Currently at 8 inches.

Things are progressing nicely. I'll update again next week.

Nice roots ... :pop:
Agreed. A good foundation brings good potential. Without decent roots the plant is going to get set aside in my grow space. The premium light will go to the premium plants, not some genetic weakling I'm hoping to resurrect.

Enjoyed looking through your journals, Chester. Most impressive!

Unless you're growing for height you may want to consider super cropping them about now ....

Day 35 Update
Shortly after replanting last week I start with some Low Stress Training on the taller plant, and came back and did the smaller one a couple days later. They're responding nicely to the LST and the onslaught of the HPS lighting. In their altered states...the taller one measures 11" now and the smaller one is 9". Both look healthy and vigorous and ready to rock.

I tried that yesterday for the first time, and ended up snapping one of the side branches. I understood the principal but didn't take the time to read up on the finer points...which I will do now. FYI...the broken branch was hanging by a thread, so I figured I see how resilient Mothert Nature could be and did some mending. 24 hours later the top is still hydrated.
Thank you.
