I know what your saying wg its just trying to find a balance mate but when i was looking for coco on the site at first i was stuned to find very little, if there was a coco section that would of got me off to a better start and then i would of treaded the boards as i always follow quite a few diarys but mostly soil grows with noobs as they need our help alot more mate

Make sure its leeched VERY well and keep some cal/mag on hand, it tends to absorb it. I've had bad luck with the stuff but seen some incredible grows in it, great thread idea!

If you want to try using Coco then dont try with the cheap shit Coco, it will end in misery....I have been there and done that a few times.
Remember, Shit in = Shit out.

Get some good quality Coco, pre-buffered, like CannaCoco or Nutrifield. And you WILL be needing some Coco specific nutes for growing in Coco.

And lastly, pests, Gnats love Coco....depending on your grow style something as simple as a layer of sand will stop them, but I suggest you get some Mosquito Dunks for when the bugs do come.....

Excellent thread Reb I will find this very useful as I too am thinking of switching to coco,I've had no problems with soil but I think I can get bigger plants with coco it's just choosing the right food I'm gonna go have a look what AN do for coco. My aim is to grow coco and or soil in the summer then try DWC in the winter when I don't have to fret about res temps to much.
