More ramblings from an old man who started growing these weeds back when there were only 3 TV channels, and those went off air every night because businesses weren't open 24 hours a day back then....
And more stuff to get the experienced growers here to shake their head and wonder.....
Remember I'm doing this for fun.
By now you want to have added to your grow tools an oscillating fan.
Once you have healthy seedlings you place the fan so it blows between your light and the plants. You want this for several reasons...
You want good air circulation, you want to disipate heat, and you want to strengthen your plants.
You can buy additives to strengthen your plants so latter in life they can hold up the weight of buds. Or you can do it like nature does, with a breeze.
Do not go nuts with the fan on the plants, at this point you only want them to barely jiggle a little occasionally so do not point it directly at them.
Yes it has to be an oscillating fan as at this point you don't want them constantly jiggling.
And no, it doesn't stress them if introduced slowly, I have done a bunch of side by side grows checking to see if it does.
I have always considered a plant to be a healthy seedling when the 3rd set of true leaves had developed. At that point the only thing that will kill these weeds are critters, a major equipment failure, or you the grower.
That is when you can introduce the fan if you choose.
But since these have survived me screwing around so far I'll introduce the fan now a bit early.
You should also start thinking about picking up a PPM meter and a turkey baster soon as you will be needing them shortly.
I introduced nutes too early, and I just guessed at the strength (another reason I'm not listing a feeding schedule) but I guess I got lucky and they survived....
Eventually that should cause problems and then I can show you how to diagnose and fix whatever pops up.
So... It's now day six in the life of 4 shorties
