Dutch Passion Terra Firma's DP AutoBlackberry Kush grow (Stacked Airpots, HS1 LED, T5)

Day 79 Think Different update.

The girl is showing calcium deficiencies all over the place, but I can't seem to get it under control. I'm feeding her epsom salts and blackstrap molasses. I have Advanced Nutrients Sensi Cal-Mag Extra, but it's NPK ratio is 4-0-0, so I'm not to keen on using it. The rate at which leaves are turning rusty has slowed down a bit, but hasn't stopped. The plant's leaves closest to the light show the rusty spots way more pronounced than those further away.

I tell you what, there is more on her than I first thought, a little tired looking with the cal def, but she's got some lovely buds on her! You've had way more than your share of troubles through this one and she's still looking rather hefty!

Yes she does have quite a few bud sites to her, but the calcium deficiency draws your attention away from it. I think I should invest in a Ph meter, to see if the cal def is Ph related. I'm feeding quite a bit of cal-mag / blackstrap molasses so it's odd the def keeps expanding... There was no cal def under the T5 light, but the led brought it on very quickly.

Don't shoot me for the quality of the pictures, it's late and I'm tired... but here's some shots of my jar of Blackberry Kush. It's a smidgeon under 100g. Not a huge amount from two plants, but I like to think of it as quality over quantity :D The smell is truly delightful :p

Day 94 update (13 weeks and 3 days). I've flushed the Think Different with app. 40L of tap water to see of I can get the Calcium issues under control. I got some ph strips and tested my tap water too. The pH was 8.5, and according to the water company report it contains Calcium (42 mg/L), Magnesium (8.1 mg/L), Chlorine (47 mg/L), Sodium (54 mg/L), Sulphate (45 mg/L) and a lot of stuff in very small quantities. The total 'hardness' of the water is 1.4 mmol/L. Once I mix my AN nutrients and Overdrive, etc. I get a pH of app. 7. I'm feeding 1ml/L AN Sensi Cal-Mag Xtra with every feeding. Could the Calcium deficiency be a Potassium excess? Or is this not very likely?

I've lowered the strength of the nutrient water to see if it makes any difference. Should I add Ph down to my nutrient mix to get the pH down to app. pH 6.3?

Hi I'm week 5 on two auto blackberry Kush but just switched frm 18/6 to 12/12 (I know this will lower yield) as my photo Blue Widows needed inducing before got too big. I was wondering what yield u got from yours and I assume u did 18/6 or 20/4? Also yr buds very dark so what were yr day and night temps? Mine are still only in early flowering with light purple specs in buds, frosting nicely n smelling fruity. First flowers were pink. Does it taste fruity? Alot of question I know. I've been struggling to upload photos tonight for some reason. Thank u.

:welcome: Robin Hood. Have you posted an introduction yet?

My yield wasn't too good, 100g dry from 2 plants, but that was due to aphids and some deficiencies I couldn't get under control. You're far better off having a look at TaNg's grow of the Blackberry Kush. He really did them justice. My day temp was app. 25 and night went down to 19 and sometimes 18 degrees Celsius. I had them under 24/0 and later 20/4. The flavour is extremely fruity :p

despite the pests you got some great looking buds, lovely colour and I (hope) these attributes come thru well in the cured buds. At least you have experience of pests now, next time you will be on them in double quick time.
