Live Stoner Chat Starting over after many decades

not familiar with any of those strains, I've run Mephisto, seedstockers, dr. Krippling and cropking autos only.

The better stuff is from Seedsman, Strawberry Cough (from Dutch Passion), Colombian Gold (from World of Seeds)
Stress Killer CBD Auto (Royal Queen), Wifi (Phat Panda) and a few from Dinafem as well. Man it is addicting looking at all the stuff spent way to much $$$ and still haven't even got a light or tent, lol!

Hi,
So I think this might be my first post here, mostly lurked in the shadows for several months and just learned all I could. It's been many, many years since I have done anything, the last was a hydro midsize (30-40 photos) if I remember correctly and I had a partner that did most of the "real work" mostly I did the pain in arse stuff. Looking to start up on my own, room size is limited so the tent size will be limited as well. At the moment I am looking at a 2in1 Tent 3x4x6.5' so the main area would be just 3x3'. I have learned a lot from this site, never done an auto before, they were not around when I was younger. Anyway just wanted to say Hello to everyone! Cheers

heya @SupaHazee and :welcome: to afn! :toke: autoz are the future! :headbang: anything u need, jus give a shout

ppp & :goodluck:

I run a appollo 12 and a couple small cobs in a 5x5 in promix hp soil and greenleaf nutrients. nice easy transition for me from photos.

It's funny as I run a landscape business and buy most of my stuff from a local hardware store. Well when I was looking for soil it seemed a lot of ppl used FoxFarms stuff so I just went with that. So went looking online and Amazon had it but it was pricey so I went back to the hardware store. They keep most of the soil right out front and I called ahead to see if they carried it as they are a listed retail store for FF....Anyway, most if not all of the soil is for "Tomato" growing, they had several different brands but I wasn't familiar enough with the others and didn't want to just guess. The FF Happy Frogs was about 7-10 bucks cheaper than what Amazon wanted for it, so I grabbed a bag along with Black Gold seedling starter soil, and perlite. I didn't see the Happy Frogs outside so went in and asked where it was they took me down an aisle and the whole aisle was devoted to "Tomato's" lmao. Just never needed to buy that sort of mix before and you would not even notice the stuff on the aisle if you didn't know what you were looking for. Boy that was a long story about nothing, sry! Oh BTW, I was flipping threw one of my mags and they had a listing for "free samples" of nutes, so I went to their site and they sent me a crap load of stuff and paid for two day shipping too. It's called dakine420 and it is power instead of liquid nutes and were super helpful on the phone, so I am going to try it and see. I do like their line, as you don't have to use 3-4 differ nutes each time. Looked online and from what I saw the reviews were very good. Anyone ever heard or tried their products before?

another great one-step dry nutrient that'z all the rage is megacrop by greenleaf nutrientz :headbang: oh, and btw, be careful with any of the ff soilz nowadayz, as their quality control has gone to shit, with the only consistency being inconsistency :nono: jus sayin... ;) ppp

Thanks for the info 420! When I go back to the store I will see what products they keep. I do know that my bag of soil is about expire so it's been sitting for a while, I've only had it for a few months at the most. I don't remember the name of the brand but it was expensive as *ell. So if not FF, what other brands would you recommend that are in the same price range? Going to wait before I do any Coco type soil, right now I want to keep it as simple as possible and go from there. I know there are 1000's of different soils & nutes but it all depends on the price and if I can get it local. Don't mind ordering it online as long as they aren't trying to rip ya like Amazon does on some of their products.

my first auto yielded 169 dry grs and its up from there.

Dang that's pretty good for an Auto, was it indoors? From the grow journals I have read I am not going to reach that with these genetics from New420G's. I know their stuff isn't top quality but I needed something local, cheap and fast. It's hard in the states, well in my state anyway to find anything. S.E U.S not a great place to be, IMO!

well, i'm only on me second grow atm, so haven't tried em meself, but lotza peepz have good resultz with kindsoil, rootz organic, or good ol' promix hp...the main probz with ff, especially the ocean forest, are wildly invariable ph outa the bag (mine was/still is 7.5), as well as bein jus plain hot...unfortunately, i got a brand new bag of the frog sittin here, and will hafta deal with it me next grow, but i'm gonna severely cut it with sumthin else & hope for the best  btw, greenleaf nutrientz has a deal goin with amazon for their 500gr bag of mc for jus $8...got mine last week  ppp

Promix is good. The Aurora roots soils is good. Bet they have special tomato soil too!

When I get back in town I am going to go see if they have any soil left and what other brands they carry as well. I'm going to check the date on bag too! The Happy Frogs is almost out of date and I got it maybe two months ago. The big box stores don't carry much of anything in stock, went all through Lowes the other day and all I found was a cheap seedling starter kit from Jiffy. Went ahead and bought it who knows how long it has sat on the shelf. The lighting is about the same, very few T5's and a couple of HPS's, haven't checked HD.
