Some help with drying/curing

If I get a large box and run a few rods through it, put a hygrometer in the side and put it in my garage where the temps are typically 40-50 would that work? My main concern with that is lack of airflow. But, with it being that cold I don’t think mold would be an issue and I think after 10-14 day in the box then finishing them in paper bags I could get a slow long dry. My garage is the only place I could have the temps below 70. My wife is always cold and if she had her way the heater would be at 75. I prefer 65 myself so we meet in the middle at 70.

I grabbed a bunch of large paper bags yesterday. Gonna give it a go. Only thing I’m worrying about is the buds having flat spots lol. Petty I know but I love my buds pretty.

Not petty want them to come out perfect. They won't be flat if you just do one layer

I heard mendo dope talking about drying at fifty you still want to have the right humidity wet and cold can still mold. They said it takes a month. Don't know much about it

Good info about not using waxed paper. I wouldn't open the bag tho.

For a smaller amount of bud paper bags are great. But if you have to fill like ten bags it can be a pain and better to partially hang dry then sweat the rest out. But for low rh the paper bags are great.

But they do dry better faster in the bags because they come out if you go like 6 7 days with a decent start to a cure. I believe the same thing happens in a sweat

I use a fridge with bags during most of the year. No mold so far.

Just mix the buds in the bags once or twice a day with your fingers and they'll tighten up as they dry without any crazy flat spots. And if the weed is good, nobody will even mention it

I don’t disagree. I wish I could run a humidifier but my wife is already at the end of her wits with my tents and lights lol. I really don’t have a place I could set one up and it work though. My tents are all in use and 2 of the 3 are to small.

Bro do what I do where the wife is concerned and slip it in there. A cheap 20 or 30 dollar vicks humidifier or whatever brand you choose is small and quiet. Just tell her it was already there! LOL...GOOD LUCK
