Grow Room Smorf's micro #1

Is that yellow leaf touching soil when watered? If so, thats the problem. Other than that I think you might add more N if the first thing I said isnt true.
Pretty sure none of the leaves were touching the soil.
If i add N im wondering if i should just top dress with kindsoil since thats what im using already?
Or i have roots organics nutes i can use.

Not familiar with that soil or nutes, Im from EU so unfortunately cant help you. Im using Plagron nutes, can recommend them.

:toke: hey bud! I think this is a reaction to tapping into the KS,... I saw similar things in other grows, even my photo's had some transition burn,... However, it's always good to be on top of your pH, especially with KS! Are you pH'ing the water to under 7.0? In-pot measurement is critical, and doing the run-off method is NOT an option with KS, it'll really screw with the microbes in there, which are you nute converters,... Bets tool for this is an Accurate 8 soil pH probe (Control Wizard)... those skinny cheapo probes at garden centers are shite!

@Waira thanks for chiming in.:cheers:

I have only been using distilled water.
Didnt think i would need to ph if doing so.

Only time it wasnt just plain distilled water was the last watering with recharge on the 29th.
I dont think i need to ph this either?

Could be transition to the soil by the roots. Dont let the soil dry too much either, it can get caustic. More light waterings may be better. Waira is more knowledge than i am but im using the soil. Having leaf issues too!

KS advised against using super pure water.. like RO, DI is totally stripped of buffering minerals, some of which are good in there to help keep pH more stable,.... mix it with some tap water that's had a chance to dechlorinate (gas off),... well, that is if it's not being treated with chloramine, which wont gas off,..might need to check with your local water Co. on that to be sure,....otherwise, no need to pH RO/DI here... thing is, w/o those buffering minerals, mostly CaCO3, pH will swing wildly with small inputs and be way unstable,...

Crap, im having issues too with the KS. But ive been adding recharge as a top dressing along with dry organic nutes. Thanks waira!

Sorry to jack ur thread smorf.

No problem man, as long as we are learning from all of it.

Thank you for explaining that.

Im a little confused because i thought kindsoil was good to go with just distilled water.

I will try to find out if my local water is treated with chloramine, if its not i will mix 50/50 tap and distilled and let it sit with the cap off for 24hrs before using it and see if that fixes my leaf issues?

I guess i will be needing a ph pen afterall.
I dont own one currently.
I should probably find out my soil ph before doing anything different.
