New Grower Second Go at My little Grow - Critical + 2.0

:toke:- I saw the post at Sick Bay,... first question still needs to be answered, is this the auto version or the photo'? That's the key here, veg' time, and if she's 3 weeks, and is an auto, she won't veg' much more to build size is what I'm saying... By no means did I tell you to can her and start over, I said it's your call to decide.... basically if the time to finish and small size will be worth it, that's all that's behind that statement. If she's a photo' you're fine, you can veg' for weeks and weeks otherwise....
Her stage of maturity gives some hope,... no sign of sexing yet? At this age usually auto's will have shown pistils on presex calyxes, but if she's not mature enough yet (oddly delayed, point in fact), she may stack a few more nodes before that happens and probably will then shift rapidly into bloom... My experience with C+ 2.0 photo is that it's a fast strain, I'd expect the auto to follow suite,.... My point was to temper your expectations simply because most first time growers get bummed out when they just start to turn a plant around, then it goes into bloom and, strain depending, stretch and further node stacking drops of a lot.... So, ride this out and see! :smoking:

Don't take my above post to imply that @Waira was wrong about your plant being pretty badly stunted. He was spot on right. It's too small, but thats it, it's not showing any disease or pest that would put it's life in danger.

The thing is, waira is possibly the best grower on AFN and his expectations are much higher than a new grower watching his first plant struggle to grow.

I'm wary of telling a new grower they have failed and to kill a plant they have invested a month into. The last thing I want is for you to give up on growing and go back to buying ditchweed from two toed Vinny down on the corner. Stick it out and see if you can make some bud and learn something.

Oh and waira was also right about Fox Farms being crap. Go dump that shit in a flower bed.
 thanks for the kind words Archaic mate, but I'm far from the best here! Some of the best are very quietly going about their bizz, not a lot of attention on them,....
I'm with you on the "giving up" thing, I see so many new growers with honestly tough calls on that,.. It's not about expectations and a high bar set though, I feel obliged to offer fair assessment, it's part of the learning curve most all of us went through when first starting, ... I was no different and was told the same by my mentors here,... Now, if that plant was hammered by severe defc.'s, or pests, or nute burned/light burned, any of the major things that can stunt badly, I'd have said so and actually strongly advised starting over because yield and/or quality will not be worth the time and $ spent dragging it across the finish line...That makes peep's unhappy and may turn then off growing, which I also try to deflect them from... (the saying "it's a weed" is 100% idiocy!),... Longer tern starvation tends to do this as well, but age and stage of maturity are not the same thing, and some strains will shoot some growth off quickly if the feed situation gets turned around,... but always that clock is ticking,...

Thanks for all the advice and input guys. She is an auto. I was a tad hurt lol, but I get where you're coming from @Waira . I have one more C+2.0 seed so I'll be able to do a good comparison...Def not gonna use any FF again though, sounds like it's quite the culprit. I'll start looking in the soil forums to see if something peaks my curiosity....I guess this is now purely a learning grow with possibility of a few nugs for all my troubles :rolleyes2:

I'm going to give you my opinion based on hard earned pain and suffering.

Do your first grow in Coco. If you can get hands on the megacrop sample pack it is enough for a couple of grows by itself. Megacrop, Coco, and an LED light are a pretty good way to remove the variables from your first few grows. If you add an autopot, it's almost impossible to not get decent results.

If the pots and megacrop are not an option just yet, at least trust me on the coco. You can and will learn soil at some point, but coco really is good for new growers.

I agree with this completely. It’s exactly what I’m doing and I’ve had fair success so far. To me it is straight forward growing in coco as along as you follow its rules and use good quality coco.

The otherside of the coin...

I'm growing in OF with no problems have 6 autos and 12 photos in OF right now, all are happy.

I am currently flowering Critical Purple Auto, mine started to flower at the same height, I also lst the plant same age. I was afraid she was stunted also. It was slightly bigger then your, but not by much.

Here she is now week 8. Not saying the advice you have been given is right or wrong. Just some food for thought.

Yeah @TORONTO_grower !! You never know what these plants could do, she could be the best you’ve had. We all promote what gives us success. There are many here that have incredible results with every method and medium. The great thing is everyone on AFN wishes for a successful grow for all, and that is one of the reasons I like it here.

Update: Girl is looking better, new growth is coming in greener so I'd say the feedings are catching up. Gonna mix up a stronger batch this weekend to see if I can't give her a boost.

Thursday update: The little lady hit 4wks on monday and still no sign of pistils so I think I can get some more veg growth out of her. Nutes have taken care of the issue I was having earlier, little bit of burn on lower leaves but nothing that can't be adjusted. Noticed the tips of some of my newer leafs have a bit of an upward curl to them (see pic) anyone have any ideas or thoughts? @Waira @archie gemmill @Beerhunter CDN
oh and GO RAPTORS GO! lol Cheers
