New Grower Second Go at My little Grow - Critical + 2.0

humpday update: Leaves keep getting wider and bigger, 5-finger set is coming in. She gets a little push/stretch every night in preparation for LST soon...

She looks spot on @Eephus! If you aren’t already, water around the outside of the plant and gradually water further towards the edge until you are only watering around the edge. This will help the roots reach out for water and help establish a large root system quickly.

Hey all, need some help/advice. new growth is coming in a bit yellower and veins are more pronounced than before, see pics for comparison.

She got her first feeding yesterday so i'm hoping that will fix things but wanted to throw it out here too. @Beerhunter CDN @archie gemmill Thanks all!

She just had her first feed so I'm gonna wait a couple days to see if there any improvement, don't wanna burn her. Also, started training her, talk about nervous in the act lol. I think I did a decent job...

She responded well to the LST, tops have adjusted nicely. Posted in the infirmary about my discoloration and a high ranking member basically told me i'm screwed and may as well scrap her and start anew....First person here or in my grower friends who have said that. Not taking it to heart and gonna keep on keepin' and whatever I end up with, so be it. :joy:

There is nothing wrong with that plant. If people micromanaged tomato plants as much as they micromanage pot plants ketchup would be $100 a bottle.

We have a few well meaning members on here that tend to overreact to the slightest imperfections and scrap a LOT of expensive seeds every year.

You don't need to grow the perfect plant to enjoy the perfect smoke.

This is your first grow and you have learned much so far, that is what is important. I would finish the plant to the best of my ability and take the advice given for future grows. OF soil seems to have been at the forefront of many problematic grows. So, on round 2 try a different soil or medium. There are some that grow amazing plants on their first grows but many more that do not as growing these plants is not as easy as people think. Be excited for round 2 and plan ahead for what you will do differently. I guarantee you will have better results. Keep it up!

Don't take my above post to imply that @Waira was wrong about your plant being pretty badly stunted. He was spot on right. It's too small, but thats it, it's not showing any disease or pest that would put it's life in danger.

The thing is, waira is possibly the best grower on AFN and his expectations are much higher than a new grower watching his first plant struggle to grow.

I'm wary of telling a new grower they have failed and to kill a plant they have invested a month into. The last thing I want is for you to give up on growing and go back to buying ditchweed from two toed Vinny down on the corner. Stick it out and see if you can make some bud and learn something.

Oh and waira was also right about Fox Farms being crap. Go dump that shit in a flower bed.
