Does it have to be cold for the leaves to go black?

Are there no other black dragon seeds out there? The portal has none?

No, but it can help. I've grown them inside before, at normal temps & they still went dark. The cold does bring it on a lot more though, but it does reduce the growth as well.

Not sure if there are any Black Dragon seeds for sale, @Mossy is the one to know. She is the Dragon Master after all (suck up). I know there are some different varieties out there, but they do seem hard to get.

I'm hoping that on this grow turn or the next, I can get enough seeds to spread the love a little, but that is a long way off.

Ok. That helps. Thanks. I have another question. How does the lineage work? I have a pack of Stone Dragons from the portal. Is a black dragon a phenotype of that? Or are the Stone Dragon a result of a breeding program that included Black Dragon? Sorry, new grower and easily confused.

Again mate, no idea about that. Mossy has a thread in the seeds section somewhere that had those details, but I can't find it now.

Ok, cold snap seems to be over & the plants are beginning to act like proper plants. I think another week before they start to show sex.

Stone's Stone Dragon is its own breeding lineage from what I know. There may be some of Mossy's Dragons in it, they collaborated at one time. Personally, Stone can shove his seeds up his ass, the arrogant prick!

And yes, there are various of Mossy's Dragons out there but few for sale. autobeanstalk.com has Duurty Dragon, which is a phenotype of Black Dragon. I myself have helped keep the Black Dragon line going, along with Dragon's Blood. My Blue Dragon is blueberry Headband x Duurty Dragon. There is lineage information available I believe in the Dragon Meds section. Availability though of most strains is all but non existent. I've long wish I had a venue to distribute those I have. dragons are damned fine medicine.

The actual black pheno though is rare, i haven't seen one in quite a while.

Here's Black Dragon from last summer's greenhouse grow
