Return of the Mush Room

On my 2nd flush of these amazing Columbian rust spores. I am doing shoeboxes that are based off shaperdreamer’s tek from Shroomery. Each box gives me an ounce or so dry the first two flushes @Son of Hobbes

wow, that'z totally cool! :headbang: how hard is it to grow em :confused1: ...or is that a bit of a loaded ques, lol :rolleyes2: ppp
This is the easiest way I have ever grown mushies. It’s literally set it and forget it. I really suggest checking out the Short Form Factor(SFF) shoebox tek on the Shroomery. It’s literally the easiest thing I have ever grown hands down. All it takes is patience

I find shoebox tek to be great for testing out new isolates, but the industrial production of a perfectly set monotub can't be beat. At my peak I was getting a pound dry from three flushes in a mono with a Koh Samui isolate.

I’ve got 6 shoeboxes going and I expect to get about a lb dry from them. The reason I like the shoeboxes is no holes, no fanning, no misting, no nothin if you get the sterilite purple handle ones it allows for the perfect amount of FAE. I mix my clean grain spawn with 100% coco coir at 1:1 then case with half a quart and mist it once then shut it. Don’t have to open it again til harvest.

Monotubs are also no fanning, no misting, no nothing. If you make one at proper field capacity it's set and forget. I also use grain spawn and coir in mine, but at less of a ratio. I tend to use 4-5 quarts of bird seed per mono.

Glad you're pulling down a bunch of dry weight from those shoe boxes!

Ever do any novelty grows? I've been considering running a stuffed bunny through the pressure cooker and stuffing it with spawn.

Lol no never tried doin a novelty. I am planning on doing some azurencens though. Bein in Colorado I think I can get the temps cool enough. I have just never been able to get a mono dialed in and I have not failed once with the shoeboxes. It’s about the same amount of spawn, each shoebox has one quart of spawn. So I have 6 quarts of spawn goin and each flush gives me an ounce each on the first two to three and about a half ounce on the third to fourth.

Azzies are extremely difficult. I've had better luck getting cyans to fruit. It's all about temperature stratification and humidity. Also, needs 100% colonization to work. Larger chips tend too work better for me, especially if some soil is mixed in. I just put in a cyan bed at a friend's place and its colonizing. azures too from stem butts.

Oh yeah I’ve done azures a few times before they are tough. In the past I did them in a mini fridge. They are a bitch but totally worth it. I honestly am not the biggest fan of pan cyans just due to the fact I have tried them three times and never got bupkis lol.

Nice on the mini fridge tek! Did you see the setup where the guy on shroomery replaced the whole front door of his mini with a wall of wet perlite?

Not pan cyans, Psilocybe Cyanescens. They're similar to azures but tougher. I also prefer the high to azzies, more of a one with reality feeling.

Please update on the azzie progress, I am super into seeing that happen!
