Thanks mate, I had about 6 of those going at once got a good three flushes before trich. I've still got many full jars and that grow was over 12 months ago.

Nice haul you got there ! I haven't tried cultivating my own yet, but am sort of intrigued. There's a couple of companies selling fully colonized substrate, and I might try a small one for a couple ounces dry.

In the late 70s'-mid 80s I knew a guy who grew shrooms, Noone else that I knew of did at the time, we all had to pick them wild in the spring and autumn. He had pounds of dry shrooms and a constant supply of fresh, and I always tripped for free.

The tek available then, he had to build a closet with sterile conditions. Still, sometimes a little microbe would get in there and spoil a whole petri, jar or tray. My townhouse has a mold problem, so I'd be better off starting with a pre-colonised bag of substrate.

I don't need to grow, I get super strong panaeolus cyanescence free from a guy who is *cultivating wood lovers* in a secret outdoor location, and lots of (unlicenced) dispensaries are selling cubensis cheap.

I live a very isolated existence, where i have my family but very little (like minded) social contact. For this kind of thing self sufficiency is the only answer. I found spore to agar to rye spawned to coco very easy. Even boxes with contam produced good results. It really saved me, my cheese had almost slid right off my cracker

I love reading along with you guys. So interesting what you get up to and how it helps. I've only ever heard the negatives and bad outcomes.

Gotta get me some spores first... and some cacti first... chuck em under the deck maybe lol nah I’d keep my ears open for suggestions on the grow methods..

Back to the 70s again, I was picking up some weed and the guy was saying to someone who wanted to trade "I don't want those funky moldy mushrooms"

I saw peyote in books so I knew what they were, and there was enough to give friends and have a few trips myself. I picked up another lid and traded for them.

Got lost on my own street that night, and every little mundane thing was profoundly meaningful.

You are right but you are also wrong!
It's harder than it looks and I would say is as hard if not harder than growing the weed we all love.
I started researching how to do it when I got covid. The biggest issue is keeping it all sterile.
But you can grow it in Unclebens bags which is a easy way to start but prone to failure also.

I'm still on baby steps but 'Philly Golden Teacher's stuff on youtube has so far been good for me and about as simple as it gets. I've done a grow from a spawned jar I was given and have now successfully inoculated and colonized grain jars with spore syringes.
