I'm still on baby steps but 'Philly Golden Teacher's stuff on youtube has so far been good for me and about as simple as it gets. I've done a grow from a spawned jar I was given and have now successfully inoculated and colonized grain jars with spore syringes.

Then you have figured out the hardest part.
I used straight coco to spawn to bulk. I would pasteurize it in the microwave then wait for it to cool before using.
You can use lots of things to spawn not just manure!

Still rolling along here. The jars have been turned out into coco coir. I used PGT's recipe of 3 1/2 qts boiling water poured on a 1.4 lb. coir brick in a bucket and closing the lid. The medium started colonizing within a few days and is looking pretty lush

Recently (past month) grew out Golden Teacher and Penis Envy. Only did one flush as I still have three other syringes in the fridge and I don't need that many shrooms! From the single flush (one shoebox of Golden Teacher and two shoeboxes of Penis Envy), I ended up with a nice amount, almost 2 ounces dried.

I've come to realize that getting the 4-pack of syringes may have been more than I can deal with, but I will see what I can do. Like you will just do a flush or two move to another syringe...and I will learn to store and reproduce the genetics

I don't plan to go to the step of taking prints. Too much for how infrequently I dose. I'm keeping the other syringes in the fridge and will see if they last until the Spring (they should). But pricing wise, the 4 pack (actually 5 pack if you ask for the freebie), is the best way to go. I'm currently averaging $1.38/gram of dried shrooms (takes into account equipment and spore costs).

It's true I probably won't need as much as I can grow but I'm curious to try some kind of repro. I thought the tissue culture looked like fun.True they are pretty economical even just buying the syringes
And they were real popular with my friends and neighbors so good trading stock.

I hear you there re: giving away. Unfortunately out of mine and my wife's friends, I have one (!) that's willing to take some. My brother-in-law refuses as he had a bad experience a long time ago and swore off them for good.

Just put em in the fridge they should be fine for awhile. I have like 8 different cube syringes. The APEs I grew were either mislabled or I got a non ape cube.

I have a old family friend who is micro dosing under his dr's care so I just donate whatever he needs.
Its really easy to end up with a lot after 2 or 3 flushes.

I assume we'll reach a saturation point here but my little community has a outsized appetite for alterating substances

It is just like the people that had a bad experience with pot edibles. Some people don't know how to ease into things or listen to instructions. Sporeprints or Agar slants for long term storage.
