New Grower Prophs 1st ever grow... Indoors.. Autos only.

Holy Moly Batman!! That was an experience!! I took the top half of the plant so the bottom can mature and get ripe. This was my first time trimming! WOW! Sooo time consuming. I'm soooo glad I decided to complete the harvest in stages. There is no way I would have be able to take down an entire plant in one sitting! I think I did ok on the trim job. I will trim again after the dry is complete.. 144g wet from roughly half the plant. Cant be angry with that for a first time grower! Or can I? Lol.. Buds are now in a brown paper bag and will stay there for about 5 days.. Then we will check them and jar them if they are ready.

I would recommend havesting in stages for any newbie like myself! This helped me out a great deal. I didn't know exactly what to expect. Now I can better game plan my harvest days and how much time it will take. And out of all the posts I read and videos I watched on havesting... no one said that you and everything on and around you will smell like straight weed for hours on end. Lol.. They skipped that part! I learned!

what a great job on your 1st grow im on my 2nd now i was wondering how close you kept your cool-tube i have a 600w hps on a dimmable ballast i got it about a week ago to help with temps its took my heat down by 7f so im happy there

Thank you! I learned everything from AFN! I just followed some really good jourmals and took some really good advice!

I actually have a reflector hood for the hps. I try to keep it as close as I can get it to the tops without heat being an issue. At the full 600w thats been about 20" or so above the tops. Im sure I could get it closer if I turned up the cooling fan for the light, but I'm trying to be as stealthy as possible with noise/sound.
