Week 4 (day 33)
Two of the four seedlings (day 12) unsexed, were transplanted into starter containers and introduced into the grow area to initiate a second layer. These together with the Lowboldt (still in vegative stage) were fed 0.1% fish emulsion, 0.1% Rhizotonic with added amino acids.
Growth of the initial layer continued to flourish into week 4 to form a uniform canopy as the plant's demand for water increased. Quicker drying times (within 24hrs) lead to the requirement to water every 48 hrs. The growth of the Pineapple express is particularly robust exhibiting multiple branching and short internodes; It's thick bright green foliage suggest an indica dominance . Pineapple express was transplanted into a full size (6Ltr) container at day 34 and foliar fed 0.5% Rhizotonic.
Vertical growth in both the BHK and the Blueberry slowed considerably from day 30 with an apparent swelling of the terminal buds. Despite no significant indication of trichrome production, the smell and floral density in these plants increased dramatically following the initial inoculation with active yeast in wk3. The onset of calyx formation led to the development of various secondary floral clusters that had fully occupied the internodal spaces by day 33, to form a primary cola. Soil cultures were fed unsulphured molasses (1.5g/L^-1) and pure D-glucose (200mg/L^-1) with uric/humic acid extract 0.5% periodically between waterings for four consecutive days following the initial inoculation. Terminal buds were foilar fed with algae/seaweed extracts with added zinc (25mg) on day 32.
After careful observation, the Lowboldt revealed itself as a female on day 33 Humidity remained @ 40-60%, with an average ambient temperature of 85F.
