I had not seen that, very nice FD! did you secure the screen with anything? Or just wedged in like a keystone? Also wondering what they're sitting on most of the time..?

well i am definetly interested in the tiered method. I see most of you are using screens. Im not sure what that does or if its what makes tiering possible but here is what im trying out. i cut a 16.9 ounce aquafina bottle into 4 pieces. i wanted to make sure i used less than half of the bottle so when i put it in an 8oz cup there will be no issues on sizes. check it out so then i put the second part (from left) into left part, like so . this way i should be able to see when the root(s) hits the bottom. then i'll just pop the bottom off and plop it in an 8oz cup. the one on the left is what im using. i hope this works. i forgot to poke holes in the bottom and i dont want to pop the bottom off when the seed is just popping out of the soil. i dropped one of my seedlings already, killing it in the proccess. thus making room for this experiment. i will be posting a pic of the plant once the leaves release from the seed, along with pics of my other seedlings.

The Idea of the screen in the bottom (and holes in the side) is to air prune the roots. Works a lot like topping a plant to make it grow more secondary stems, the tap root hits air and stops growing down and starts to send out secondary roots that spread out in the container rather than the roots hitting the sides/bottom and circling the pot, getting root-bound. It is basically a way to fill the entire volume of the pot with a good even spread of roots, giving you extra large plants for the pot size. It is used commercially for a lot of things like nursery trees, so they can fit more product into one area...

i just want it to be the best looking plant male or female lol as long as it is pictur perfect at the end of 80 days. see i was thinking about those purple mazar runt because ive noticed when you grow the runts out they can look like bonsai i mean they look perfect just a micro plant.

There's an idea go for form instead of size, who knows, you might end up with a plant that gets you high just looking at it!

Yep they are wedged in there like a keystone i filled them on a flat surface and once the soil was in there they stayed.
I have them sitting on another 8oz cup that the bottom was removed from, kinda like a little stand.
Helps them from tipping once they get big.
