Love the space age lighting Groff, I'm glad to see your Ortega, I've had 3 of the 5 given me by DP just grow a tail out of the shell and die.
Best of luck with NQ, mine had a touch of budrot at the end but nothing serious at all.

Hey Oh Jay,

Everything is looking good except that I could really see how they do not like being transplanted. They did not grow an inch since yesterday. Maybe they just needed a nice and quiet night's sleep...
Light on in 10 minutes.

Day 9 - minor update.

The girls are definitely stretching out after a good night's sleep. Growth is amazing! The Purple Haze is being a bit shy in comparison, but I'm sure she'll pick up.
Beautiful cotyledons!

Welcome!

Day 10

Not my proudest moment. Ortega 1, the biggest one of all, showed me some tip leaf burn on both the first and second real leafs... :cuss:

Seems the recommended Formulex amount is a tad too much for the little lady. None of the others complained, but just in case, I've been "flushing" the roots by the means of a cup of water, pH 5.8, EC 0.385 @ 0.5 and 20.5ºC, every 4h (250ml) right at the base of the stem, circling out and around the plant. My reasoning, flush close to the roots first then slowly the surrounding areas.

Not the best pic, but it clearly shows the affected areas.
I also raised the lights a bit, the leafs really are "trying to hug the sky", not curling but almost pointing up. Is this ok?

I thought Formulex was a bit forgiving... anyways, will water without nutes tomorrow, and the day after introduce Canna A & B @ 1/4 strength. Seem fair?

that wont be nute burn that will be starvation and possible led burn
there supposed to be started at 0.7 ec over base in week 0-1 use canna's
then bumped to 1.1 week 2 then up from there

Starvation !? How is that so? 5ml / L Formulex + 4ml Rhizo? EC was about 0.9 (base 0.3)

Agito, could you please elaborate more on that please? How can you tell its LED burn. from such a bad pic?... and led bleaching I've heard of, but LED burn is new. They're roughly 55-60cm (22") up.

Should I start on the Canna tomorrow then?

i was thinking the same thing, when i use formulex i usualy start @ 1.0 ec, the seedlings do look a little pale and the light might be to close especialy for young plants, if the seedlings need feed the coytledons will start to turn yellow as the start to feed off their own reserves untill the roots find food, its difficult to tell in your pics though under those lights, it would be really difficult to burn your seedlings using formulex cause of the low n-p-k ratio which makes me think its either the light or ph

im no expert in coco either but isnt the ph supposed to be higher at around 5.8- 6.0 for veg and 6.0-6.2 for flower ?

the npk of the above products is very little to none as im aware there just stims and vits
its like giving a athlete steroids and no food to back them up

In hydro the media in nute free unlike potting compost and even seedling compost has nutes

id go in at 1.0 ec above base tomorrow before any further damage is done
seems like your level is around 0.2 above base which is next to nothing when week 1 should be .6 above base and week 2 1.1 over base

keep ph 5.6-6.0

It so great to have both you guys over here. Thanks a bunch!

LED's have been raised to 80cm (31"). The heck with tomorrow, have to run right now, but as soon as I get home they'll be treated to a nice Canna A&B @ EC 1.0 over base, snack.
Man, they grow so fast...
I've been keeping pH really tidy between 5.6 and 6.2, which is what I've collected as being and optimal range to swing around.
